Morning
The drinks are usually incredible. Seasonal favorites are the Santa’s Little Helper and the Pecan Pie Latte, best iced but either are good! Throughout the year, the macchiato is my go-to. Very charming atmosphere with the ability to dine in or carry out. I do both very frequently and love bringing visitors to the first street location since we can sit by the river.
1 out of every 10 drinks or so is not as good. For example, the matcha is not thoroughly blended.

Such a cute cafe! Love the ambiance, great service, great drinks! I didn’t try any food but have tried 3 different drinks all of which were great. I even had a request of adding more oat milk to my cold brew and they were happy to help. I would totally recommend! Bonus points for being in such a cute are! Picture I added was of the Firework Lemonade, loved it.

I recommend the pumpkin spiced latte w/ oatmilk and the mango milk tea with boba! The atmosphere is so chill. Definitely a great place to do some work on your computer.

This place is a neoliberal nightmare.

Everything has been crafted to squeeze out the little things that make a coffee shop a cozy place to go and rest up.

Instead of a water cup, you get a pitcher filled with lukewarm water and little paper cones that hold a thimble of water and can’t be set down until empty.

The singular bathroom has a code on it that requires a purchase to use. The employees will also give you attitude about asking for anything that is not an order.

The straws are brittle biodegradable plastic that doesn’t make sense given the water cups are paper and would be landfilled.

In isolation, these things are whatever, but taken together they are a horrifying reminder that the rent seekers are trying to juice out any sense of enjoyment and relaxation out of these places.

And the coffee was just alright. Slightly burnt and served way too hot.

EDIT: Revising my review after comments from the owner which further prove the point that this place is extractive. Notice how they complain about the free water? Does that sound like a place that wants you there? That is cozy? Probably not. Avoid this dump!

And no, neo liberal is an economic mindset, not political. It’s a greedy, selfish mindset this place exemplifies.

This place has a very cool vibe and lots of nice places to sit and work or read or play a little game with a kid who you bring. I have only been here once. I decided to try to online ordering system. They didn’t seem to get the alert but it wasn’t a problem. As soon as I mentioned it, they were able to see the order and make it. I went to the St Charles location but was still charged a Sycamore tax.. I’m a bit uninformed about the area though so it is possible that the Sycamore tax applies to more than Sycamore proper. I ordered one of their lattes with oat milk and enjoyed it very much. They added a shot of espresso and I think I would always get it this way.

Oh! They have All Gender bathrooms. I LOVE this for both efficiency and inclusion.

There is a piano inside.. I wonder if someone ever plays it? I would love that.

We get coffee here quite often. It’s always good and consistent. The chocolate-covered strawberry latte is my favorite!

Takes forever to get a coffee here. Although the inside is nice and I viting to sit and have a coffee , it was disappointing that everything is served in a to go cup and create waste. At the very least the barista could have asked if it is for here or to go

No matter the coffee shop I always order an espresso with nothing added to really taste the coffee. Their espresso is slightly too acidic and fruity. Overall it’s just OK.

But the Wi-Fi? Absolute trash. 2–4 Mbps download in 2025 is embarrassing. Didn’t even test upload. A decent connection could easily double their customers.

We had the autumn flight with three of the seasonal drinks;
The Salted Caramel Pumpkin Spice Latte
The Candy Bar Latte
The Spider Bite Mocha
All three were delicious! And we’ll definitely be back!!
