They sure didn’t exaggerating when claiming best cuban mix in town…. I would argue it might be the best in the country. A must try if you are in town for a visit.

This is by far one of my favorites Cuban places on the Island. The staff is friendly and always very nice. Our go to is the Turkey and cheese sandwich with fries but lately we’ve also been getting their breakfast sandwiches and it’s delicious. The food is very reasonably priced and tastes amazing!

I’ve driven by The Corner Sandwich Shop in Key West many times over my last vacation and every time, I noticed locals lined up or picking up sandwiches. That’s always a good sign, so on this trip, I made it a point to stop by—and I’m glad I did!
This is a true walk-up window spot, with a handful of outdoor counter seats and a menu posted on boards flanking the order window. Simple, unassuming, and exactly the kind of local gem you hope to find on vacation.
I ordered the steak sandwich and it was perfect. A generous portion, packed with flavor and great texture. The griddled beef was tender and savory, paired with grilled onions, melted cheese, fresh tomato, and the unexpected crunch of potato sticks—an amazing touch that brought everything together.
My wife and kids tried the Cuban sandwich and absolutely devoured it. What stood out was the way the pork was reheated—seared on the grill for a bit of crispy texture before being tucked into the sandwich. That little detail made a big difference in both flavor and mouthfeel.
It’s clear why the locals keep coming back. Great food, quick service, and zero fuss. If you’re in Key West and craving a satisfying sandwich, don’t miss this spot.

Corner Sandwich Shop is a small but very cozy spot that immediately gives you a homely vibe. The sandwiches are really tasty: fresh bread, generous fillings, and you can tell the ingredients are good quality. I especially liked that the portions are large and filling — perfect for a quick bite before exploring Key West. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy. Prices are quite reasonable for the area. No unnecessary frills — just simple, honest, and delicious food.

I really appreciate stopping by here! A real good Cubano Mix sandwich.
The stuff was efficient. From order to holding the food in my hand, maybe five minutes. I was here at noon weekdays.
The sandwich is well made : Cuban white bread, some kind of whip, onions, lettuce, tomatoe, meet, a slice of beef (that one could have been thicker).
The little smile would have been appreciated. 10$ tax included (finally no coins in change!).
Thank you for this experience. I totally recommend.

This place was an accidental find and I’m so glad I fount it. I had the most delicious chorizo and egg sandwich. It’s a great spot early in the morning to get your cuban favorites. Plenty of street parking nearby and a few seats to sit at a countertop with your friendly neighborhood roosters hanging out nearby.
