I am a chicken tender expert, I’ve gotten chicken tenders in hundreds of restaurants, and two restaurants had the most tastebud melting experience. Five years ago, I went to Whitmore Lake Tavern, and had the best chicken tenders in my life. Today, I finally found chicken tenders that top that here at Corner Cafe. The crunch, the texture, the flatness, paired with the ranch. Don’t even get me started on the price. It was so cheap and so amazing. Best dining experience in my life.

You just can’t beat a small town cafe. Especially in a Michigan farming community. They just know how to keep it simple and top quality. The bread is homemade- fluffy. Bacon and eggs were perfection. French toast was amazing. This place is a gem!
Update 7/26/25: we stopped in for lunch during the Homecoming Celebration. It was busy but this crew was unfazed. They handled the rush with amazing professionalism. Fast, friendly service and great food! The burger was on spot and the fries were excellent! It looked and sounded like everyone around us was happy. Hats off to this small town eatery!!

Love small diners like this, the staff was great, food was really good. Affordable with good size portions. Atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. Some small cute decorations. Single person restrooms. Enough room to not be cramped but only seats around 30-40 total. Like most small businesses now an extra charge if you are paying by card but not much.

When passing through a small town it is often difficult to find a place to park with a big truck pulling a camper, and traveling with a Dog. This was perfect! Sat outside on their patio under a shade umbrella picnic table. Food was great! Exactly what we were looking for. Service was fast, friendly and server Ann even got our Dog a bowl of water. Great local small Diner type place. Will stop in again.

I ordered a coffee which was nice and strong and not watered down and for food I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Both were great. I will definitely stop there again if I’m in town and want good food. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice and cozy on a cold winter day like today.

We stopped here on a whim while passing through on a road trip, glad we did. Excellent service, our server kept the hot coffee flowing. The portions were absolutely huge! I recommend the southern omelette and the homemade whole wheat toast. It’s super cozy, looks like a home that was converted to a cafe. Prices were really reasonable, less then $10 for a breakfast that could easily serve two people. We weren’t expecting a whole lot but we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Also, the server was super kind – she was very patient with the elderly customers who needed extra help.

Stopped on our way through town. Ordered breakfast special. Everything was delicious. The eggs were very large and fresh, same with the bacon. But the bread for the toast was the best, I think it was homemade and so delicious! Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Got a breakfast this morning, had to throw the whole thing away the eggs were dry and nasty,the hasbrowns can’t even eat those they were so hard and cooked to long to almost burnt,the link sausage was under cooked,so I basically bought breakfast to just throw away,DONT EAT HERE
