ALLERGY ALERT!!! All their fried foods (fish, shrimp, all fries, onion rings, chicken & tenders) in the same vat of oil! Anyone allergic to shellfish beware. It would have been nice to have ordered their sweet potato fries along with our sandwiches or, to have ordered their southwest egg rolls as an appetizer, but the waitress warned that those were fried in the same oil where the shrimp was fried.
There are other options on the menu. Looking around at other tables, the Cajun foods looked good. We were not pleased with the side of coleslaw. It came in a small condiment container. Had we ordered fries, would we have been served that little of a portion?! The Frito pie wasn’t served as mentioned in the menu and when I asked for the helpings, again, these small condiment containers were brought.
Service from our waitress and other staff was great. She was attentive with refills and other requests.
They have a good size bar with seating, several t.v.’s in every direction. It’s a sports bar. They have a small arcade section, too.
Finally, we won’t be going back, but I urge anyone to give them a chance if you don’t have dietary needs.
One reason we stopped were the reasonable menu prices and the variety of items.

This place is everything you could hope for and more! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a friendly vibe that’s only enhanced by the regulars—a true testament to the amazing staff and incredible food. Whether you’re dining inside or on their lovely, fresh patio, you’re in for a treat.
For sports fans, this is a dream! With at least 13 TVs playing games, you’ll never miss a moment of the action. The waitstaff strikes the perfect balance between attentive and laid-back, making every visit feel seamless and enjoyable.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! The crawfish macaroni is rich, creamy perfection, and the catfish (fried or blackened) is packed with flavor. Don’t skip the hush puppies or the boudin balls—they’ve got just the right kick of spice. And the bread pudding? Warm, decadent, and unforgettable.
Bonus: My coworkers and I discovered you can split the lunch-sized club sandwich with fries between four people—it’s delicious, filling, and such a great deal!
We’ll definitely keep coming back and can already see this becoming one of our regular spots. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a great vibe, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Great service. Our server was excellent! The chicken fajita tacos were tasty but very skimpy – a very small amount of meat and cheese with sour cream and salsa on the side. Fine for a snack, but definitely not an entree.

Never have I ever been denied my leftovers at a restaurant – until today. My family and I have been waiting to try this place since they opened and the food was very good (that’s why I gave 2 stars). We paid over $100 to eat and when we asked for to go containers, we were told ‘Absolutely not’. Weird, right? I asked to speak to the manager who told us ‘because they were a small business we were not allowed to take home the rest of the crawfish my son didn’t eat because we as customers should only order the amount of food we were going to eat in the restaurant’. We were not forewarned this unusual rule, my son did not purposely order more crawfish than he could eat and we paid for this food we could not take home. What are they going to do with our leftovers? Please make this make sense.

One of the best Louisiana food places I have ever had in Houston. I keep coming back for more Ive been like 5-6 times already. People wait at larger restaurants, so of course there maybe be a wait at a smaller one. Ive even sat at the bar until a table was available which was fine with me. Definitely worth the wait one of my favorite restaurant now. I came during lunch hour, dinner hour and ordered to go.

I am so angry at myself for living so close but not trying Cormier’s until recently. The staff is incredible- friendly, helpful and just so kind. The atmosphere is laid back; it’s the best kind of place to eat and relax, even alone- not quiet but also not super loud. And the food! Amazing. I’ve tried various meals and everything has been phenomenal. This place is definitely on my short list of go-to spots!

Great neighborhood spot for Cajun and Creole fare. Attentive service. The red beans and rice were a perfect hangover fix.

I eat alot of Cajun food and this place is great! I’m super picky about my gumbo and thought theirs was great. Nice dark roux and plenty of chicken and sausage. The Cajun Chicken Pasta could have been seasoned a bit more, but there was Cajun seasoning at the table so wasn’t a huge deal. The Cajun Boiled Shrimp had plenty of spice and cooked perfectly. The cocktail sauce even was amazing! Definitely recommend The Mitch. Such great flavor and so much food! Parking was not an issue…large common parking lot. No wait when we went. Service good. We sat at a bar height table and it was on the small side for a party of 6.

God told me to have lunch here today. I was torn between ordering the Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo or the Red Beans & Rice, but I ended up picking the gumbo.
I love small mom & pop, owner-operated businesses such as Cormier’s Kitchen. The amazing food, personable staff and kid-friendly atmosphere are what truly makes this country great.
I can’t wait for future visits here to try the Crawfish Etouffee and the Red Beans & Rice.
God bless and good journey!
