Had a wonderful lunch this week at Corky Bells Seafood on Fleming Island Florida, a suburb of Jacksonville Florida. I had the fried clam strips, okra & rice, corky slaw, and hush puppies. The portions are generous, the service is friendly and fast and the food is delicious. I will be back and recommend them. We are lucky to have Corky Bells so close by.

Delicious seafood. The special we purchased: $38 for shrimp, fish, and 4 sides – dinner for 2 people. We received fried shrimp and fish for 2, hushpuppies, loaded potato, a side salad, French fries, greenbeans, and 2 Pepsi drinks = $51 + tip (overcharged us on the salad $2.50ish). Our waitress was super sweet, so we didn’t mention the overcharge. We had 2 full containers of leftovers to bring home because it’s a lot of food, and somehow, it fills you up quickly. Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce bottles were on the table, as well as a basket of individual packets of butter crackers. Hardly a wait for the food. The extensive menu looks like there’s something for everyone. I’d love to try the scallop fettuccine and salmon patties next.

Had a great lunch here with large portions of food in which you could tell was very fresh and delicious, the blackened shrimp was awesome and the coleslaw some of the best I’ve had. Check out Corky’s sometime if you’re ever in the south Jacksonville FL area!

The place was full but with lots of tables staying dirty after service was completed.Wait time was 1 hour 30 min . Wait staff was not at all attentive. We never where able to get additional drinks beside the ones when waitress came to take our order . They never came around again though out our meal. When food arrived we had to wait for flatware to be able to eat . My husband had to go to bar to ask for lemon , tarter sauce , napkins and my coleslaw that was missing . We also did not get the clam strips in either of our plates . This was our first time here and I looked again at the menu to make sure that the clam strips where included in our meals, they were supposed to be. My husband went back to the bar to ask for our check he told her what happen and she did nothing to try to fix what had happen. She just replied that the senior citizens plates don’t come with it . We did not get the senior plates . As you can see on the recipe. Good food but terrible and slow service. Ask before they hand you the buzzer how long it will take to sit down . They fail to advise that to us as well.

Shrimp dinner and “Blackended Cod”. Fries and hush puppies were good according to Aunt Cherry and Danielle. Due to my shellfish allergy, I couldn’t eat anything fried because they fried EVERYTHING together. Favorite spot for locals. Prompt, friendly service. Not for those with food allergies.

We have been here several times. The fried seafood is fresh, hot, tasty, and overflowing the plate! They are consistently delicious! Even the green beans and lima beans are seasoned. Great value for the money. Flexible with substitutions, also. Have had the cod, catfish, scallops, shrimp, oysters, even the hushpuppies. Will continue returning (and this place is over half an hour from our house!). Wish I would have taken pix of the food, but we were hungry and devoured it all!!!

Excellent meal and top notch service. I had a blackened fish filet, broiled shrimp, and scallops. I could not decide what my favorite was, it was all so good! Other family had shrimp Alfredo which was reported to be very good. Server was kind enough to offer a member of our party the choice to try grits, and exchange if he didn’t like. We will definitely eat here again.
