The food at corkscrew is amazing! I’m not really a bbq person, but even if you aren’t, this is definitely worth trying. Come early right around opening time because they have long lines and start running out of items early in the morning day (like around 1 pm). Although lines can be an hour or longer, the wait is worth it. Servers also come by in the line to take drink orders so you can have a cold drink or beer while waiting.
The meats are incredibly tender and fall off the bone, they also have the smoky char.
We had the creek stone prime rib beef, 1/4 lb brisket, jalapeño cheese link, and pork ribs. For sides we had Mac and cheese and got peach cobbler for dessert.

Warning – parking can be difficult to find. You may have to try lots behind the property

Waited an hour in line. Maybe 20 minutes on food. While waiting in line there is water and saltine crackers.

The moist brisket is by far the best I’ve ever had. Ribs good too.

The baked beans are spicy. For those who are spicy intolerant like me. The ribs had some spice but I could handle it.

If you can stand being in line, it’s worth the wait. Really.

The people working here are phenomenal and hard working. Thank you Cody and Nicole for the professional service.

Definitely eat here!!

This was our first time trying Corkscrew! We waited roughly 45 min to get our food and go. We also got there as soon as they opened too.

We definitely had some mixed reviews on the food!

The good:
– Coleslaw was delicious! Had a nice creamy texture with an added spicy kick to it!
– Baked beans were also very good, they had a nice smoky taste to them and were thick.
– Not really a flavor critique, but I enjoyed how many extras they gave you (pickles, jalapeños, bread, onions).

The not so good:
– Brisket was very juicy, but flavor was incredibly lacking.
– Mac and cheese was super plain, I wouldn’t even get it again.
– Ribs were just meh, wasn’t anything special about them and were a bit dry.
Cheddar Sausage was also pretty basic and nothing memorable.

We spent 100 + tax for everything shown in the photos! I wouldn’t return again, as the food is far from impressive but it was nice to try just once.

I was visiting from out of town to try this Michelin star barbecue restaurant and it really did live up to my expectations! I got the ribs, brisket, and mac n cheese.

The ribs were well seasoned, and had a little kick to them from the chili flakes. I will say, they could have been a little more tender!

On the other hand, the brisket was melt in your mouth soft and deliciously smoky.

The barbecue sauce was nice but nothing special.

The Mac n cheese was just okay. I prefer a Mac n cheese that has a sharper cheddar, but this tasted a bit flat and more so like an Alfredo Mac. If that’s your vibe, you’d enjoy this one!

The biggest issue I had with this place is the LONG, LONG line. We waited for almost two hours to just put our order in. After that, there’s a wait to even get your food. I understand that it’s a popular spot, but they definitely need to update the way they serve customers! For such a long wait, I think you can find a better barbecue spot in Texas.

Corkscrew BBQ was terrific all the way around, but the brisket is what truly shines. It had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a thick, flavorful bark that BBQ lovers dream about. Every bite was rich, smoky, and balanced without being overly greasy or dry.

The jalapeño sausage link was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Great snap, bold flavor, and just the right amount of heat without overpowering the meat. It stood out as a must-order item.

The pork ribs were extremely tender and cooked perfectly, but they were a little lighter on flavor compared to the brisket and sausage. Still enjoyable, just not as memorable as the other meats.

The service was second to none, especially for a non–sit-down setting. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Overall, Corkscrew BBQ is absolutely worth the trip. The quality of the food, consistency, and execution put it on par with Terry Black’s. If you’re serious about Texas BBQ, this place deserves a spot on your list.

This is the absolute best BBQ ever. Three of us dined here and here’s what we tried, and all of it was the best:
BBQ sandwich, pulled pork, loaded baked potato, potato salad, baked beans, side salad, and peach cobbler. (even the soda was different and delicious!) Everyone was pleasant and truly hoping our experience was superb. Anytime I’m visiting Texas I will be eating Corkscrew BBQ. You’ll love it. The atmosphere was down home welcome.

Go early and get a number as theres around 26 numbers available, once you get a number you can come back around 10.30am before the doors open. We had the moist brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, queso and pico de gallo to share. Firstly the beer ribs are amazing, juicy with a great hit of smoke flavour. Do yourself a favour and pair the beef ribs with doritos chips, pico de gallo and top it with queso and you have the best nacho in a mouthful. The crispy chips and hint of fresh and spice from the pico balances cheesy queso and fatty beef rib like a match made in bbq heaven. The brisket was very good, the pork ribs were also good but I preferred thr beef ribs any day of the week. The peach cobbler was the perfect sweet end to the meal and we left satisfied. The line is intense so definitely go early, we got there at 8.30am on a Saturday and got number 10, so we could walk around and explore.

Fantastic BBQ. Got 1/2lb of brisket (mixed) and a 1/4lb of garlic sausage. Both were great with the fatty brisket being the star of the show. The sprinkle of fixings, sweet tea, and a killer potato salad sealed the deal for me.

Is it the best BBQ in Houston? Maybe.
Would I recommend Corkscrew? Absolutely.

So the food was delicious. I got some brisket, their staple, it was some of the best I’ve had and I go driving for BBQ . The garlic sausage was also tasty. The pulled pork was nice and smokey and not dry like some places I’ve been. The Tacos were also surprisingly tasty. My wife loved them. Didn’t get to the turkey or ribs; I’ll have to check those at supper tonight. The peach cobbler was great. It was as good as my grandma’s, and she is known for her cobbler, creamy cobbler, and crunchy crust with perfect sugar and cinnamon, maybe a hint of nutmeg, but I’m not positive. Warning: The line is long, so we went there at 11, and it was 12:15 before we got our food. I’m not sure if they run out daily, but the parking was still full when we left. There is overflow parking about a block away, which was $10. We came in a compact car and found a space near the entrance. If I owned the place, I’d put out some 4×4 timbers to mark the spots. It’s a gravel lot and everyone parked more than a door width away. I could have parked in several of the spaces between cars but would not have been able to get out. . I’ll be going back again to try some of the other items.

Best BBQ I’ve ever had. The meat is insane. Portions were generous. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Great spot for a chill day and good food.
