30 minutes to get a drink even though we were only one of two tables in the restaurant at 6:30PM. It took another half hour and me going to the owner to put an order in. Again I had to flag someone down for a refill during the long wait. An hour or so and no appetisers. I felt the whole time like we were bothering them and they were avoiding us. When dinner did come out and hour and fifteen In, they forgot the Nan which came after we finished dinner. The whole time no one stopped by the table, I had to walk to the front and ask for help any time we needed anything. But you his is par for the course. The food is great but if you’re expecting any level of service this is not your place.
I’m quite a fan of their Rogan Josh, but their Naan is always top notch. If you like Indian food and are in the area is is well worth a try!
So they will lose all of my business and going forward I will go into Manhattan for affordable Indian fare (!!!).
Casual dinner for four with no drinks or appetizers? $230 after tax and tip. The menu is a middle finger to customers. Unsustainable business. Won’t be around for long unless they make some adjustments. Restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday evening (lots of takeaway orders it seemed). I told the guy what I thought of the prices and he just shrugged and walked away.
I had the coconut curry shrimp (I think it was called?) and my girlfriend had the Tandoori chicken. Also had the mango/yogurt drink (non-alcoholic) which was AMAZING! (Mango Lassi I think it was called, not sure) We were both super happy with the food and service. Will be coming back very soon 🙂
P.S. You can tell which one of us knows how to take good photos lol
Note: My photo of the coconut curry shrimp is NOT of the whole portion, I just like to eat bit by bit on a separate plate
