I generally don’t leave reviews unless they’re glowing, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share it.
I stood in what appeared to be the ordering line while multiple customers behind me had their orders taken. After realizing I may have been in the wrong spot, I adjusted and moved down the counter where others were clearly being helped. Even then, two more customers were served ahead of me without anyone making eye contact or acknowledging me.
I eventually had to interrupt and ask if I could place an order, at which point the staff member rolled his eyes and responded, “What do you want.” I almost left, but having worked in food and beverage for 20 years, I understand bad mornings happen. I chose to extend grace.
Unfortunately, the food mirrored the service. My everything bagel was burnt to the point that every piece of garlic was blackened, with an uneven slab of cream cheese smeared across it.
As both a nurse and a longtime food and beverage worker, this was a real bummer of an experience. I don’t expect perfection, just basic acknowledgment and care. Today, neither showed up.

I have been looking for a bagel shop other than the chains. Heard about Corey’ Bagels and stopped by. Easy to find on Eau Gallie beachside, parking was ok but they do share a lot with other businesses. Lots of fresh bagel flavor options, they offer breakfast and lunch options. We tried Bacon Egg Cheese, Sausage E.C., and a taylor pork roll E.C. bagels. They were all great, bagels are large and the topping were plentiful! We also grabbed a bag of bagels and flavored cream cheese. Definitely worth the stop for great bagels or sandwiches. Workers and owners are very friendly! I’ll be back!

I’ve tried with this place. Believe me. But it’s a hit or miss. Today was a huge Miss !! And I plan not to return.

First their service is always greeted with poor attitude. Be a lil nicer. People come to you for a decent bagel. The place was busy. And I should have turned away knowing it would be a while. I was passed over with my order because the guy behind me was taller. Mistake 1 .

I ordered an egg salad, on a toasted multigrain with bacon. Oh and a little butter to moisten the bread.
I knew the guy taking my order was already distracted. After I placed my order, I moved up to the register area. People coming in behind me were already getting their order and I’m still waiting 15 minutes.

A woman comes to the register and tells me $11. 22. I said excuse me?? I only ordered 1 bagel. She said yea? 11.22 !! Mistake 2.

I should have said never mind. I asked how could an egg sandwich with cheese and pastrami cost 6.95 ??? But egg-salad w /bacon was $11?? But I was hungry.

8 min later I’m handed an ugly bag. That feels very clumsy. I should have opened it in the store but I walked out. Walking out, I said egg-salad is not expensive to make.

I got on no my car opened my bag to this catastrophe of a sandwich. And the bagel was hardly toasted and a pile of cold bacon.

Corey’s get your act together. You’re definitely not going to be my bagel place any longer.

Absolutely the Best Bagels and Bialys Outside of New York!
If you’re a New Yorker living in or visiting Melbourne, this is the spot to go for a taste of home. The bagels and bialys are incredibly fresh authentic, chewy, and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and tradition.

Even if you’re not from New York, this place is a must-try. The food is outstanding, and the quality is unmatched. I highly recommend stopping in for breakfast you’ll be hooked from the first bite.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and try this place at least once. You won’t regret it!

We got take out to sit by the river and eat.

Wow! Phenomenal bagels! Everything is so fresh and flavorful, lots of options, quick and super friendly service, and very reasonably priced. My husband and I each got 2 bagel sandwiches to go and will definitely be back while here in Melbourne! Off the top, though, I’ve gotta give a shout out to the Turkey Melt on everything bagel – YUM!

Love this place. We order here almost daily. It’s that good. The bagels are fresh, the cheesesteak bagel and the chicken salad are out of this world. It’s quick too. They get you in and out of there really quick which is nice!

I am writing to express a serious concern about a food preparation practice I recently witnessed at your store. During my visit, I noticed that the eggs served to customers were being microwaved in plastic Tupperware — and more concerningly, that the same plastic container was being reused repeatedly for different orders throughout the day.

As you may already know, microwaving food in plastic—especially when done repeatedly—can cause harmful chemicals to leach into the food. Many plastics are not designed to withstand repeated exposure to high heat, and over time they can break down, releasing substances such as BPA, phthalates, and other potentially toxic compounds. These chemicals have been linked to hormone disruption and other long-term health issues.

Reusing the same plastic container for multiple customers only increases this risk, as the wear and tear from repeated heating makes chemical leaching even more likely. Beyond the health concerns, this practice can also compromise the taste and quality of the food you serve.

I value your store and the quality of your bagels, but this practice is unsafe and unacceptable. I respectfully request that you discontinue microwaving eggs—or any food—in plastic containers and switch to safer, food-grade, heat-resistant options such as glass or ceramic. Doing so will not only protect your customers’ health but also demonstrate your commitment to proper food safety standards.

Please take this matter seriously and let me know what steps will be taken to address it. I appreciate your time and attention, and I hope to continue being a customer once this issue is resolved.
