We tried the jumbo lump crab gratin, Cajun style oysters, angry lobster spaghettini, lemon rosemary half chicken, the crab cake, Brussel sprouts for the table, and the apple galette for dessert. Everything was delicious. Best dishes were the angry lobster and half chicken (might’ve been the best chicken I’ve ever had. The chefs were on point that night!) The service was also great, I would recommend trying!

I will definitely be back here. The restaurant is a nice size and nice atmosphere, the service was very good, and most importantly the food was amazing. I came for a friend’s birthday dinner on a snowy Friday night with a large party. The staff were super accommodating and everyone loved their dishes. One of our friends is allergic to all seafood (bless her heart) but they carefully catered to her, preparing dishes safe for her to eat and placing cute little flags in each appetizer and entree so it was clear what she could and could not have. I had the lobster spaghettini and I cleaned my plate! I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.

Love this place, food selections were numerous. Wanted to try everything and tried to do so. Experienced the charcoal chicken thighs, whole rockfish, fresh oysters on the half shell, grilled calamari, ahi tuna, grilled french toast(that’s right grilled), steak & eggs. Service was excellent. Ambience was delightful.

I had a solo dinner on a Saturday night and had a great experience. Recently I tried Sunday brunch with 2 other friends. Overall the food was good but they were out of the crab Benedict option and some of the bottomless drinks. Moral of the story I think is to aim for an earlier brunch before options run out. Otherwise the frittata was good and the brunch burger was average. The fogcutter by far was the best drink we tried with the bottomless options. The place wasn’t packed but the servers got our food/drinks confused a few times with a nearby table which wasn’t an issue ultimately but felt like they were just having on off day. I’ll probably check out brunch another day

Love this place. Have been here three times, twice at the bar for lunch and once for dining. Service is superb, everyone serving us has been extremely friendly. The food is some of the best we’ve had in DC, and definitely the best spot for seafood. I adore the grilled oysters and they just added two new types to the menu – to die for! I’m honestly surprised it’s not packed all the time but they do have ample seating.

Food is very good! Service was great and I enjoyed the style of using coal ovens. For example the calamari is grilled instead of fried and was much better than other places. I would like to check out the happy hour!

I used to love this place. It was a regular stop for me and I spent abundantly. The menu was extraordinary, its turbot , Calamari, and other seafood dishes were genuinely divine. I brought diplomats, friends, family, and neighbors here, and recommended it to anyone who wanted a unique spot in town.
This year I returned twice with guests, but unfortunately it was not the same. The menu has changed considerably. The to share fish was no longer there and the mushrooms and calamari was not the same recipe. My friends still enjoyed their meals and thanked me for them, but I could not help noticing how much the restaurant has shifted from what it once was. I am sad that I wont be coming back again.
If you have never been, it is still worth trying. But for those who remember it in its earlier days, the difference is difficult to ignore. It feels like a case of all good things eventually coming to an end.
The servers and staff remain gracious as ever. This was once the finest restaurant in Washington, and I am saddened to say it no longer feels that way. I used to consistently go, and now all I can think of is that I have other options 🙁
Thank you for the wonderful experiences in the past and I hope that maybe things get better in the Spring/Summer.

Food was great, service was great! The manager even took notice of how much our daughter loved the caviar and brought her a sample of his favorite. The ‘Nduja Pork Butter Oysters are a must!

I’ve visited this restaurant twice now, and both experiences have been excellent. The first time, I came with a group. They were a bit short staffed, so service took a little longer than usual, but what stood out to me was that the quality of the food and drinks never suffered. Everything was still beautifully prepared and delicious. The music was great, the atmosphere was lively, and we were able to relax and truly enjoy ourselves.
This time, I returned for a date night and once again, the food and drinks did not disappoint. What made this visit especially memorable was the service. Diamond took care of us and brought such amazing energy to the table. His voice lit up the room and added to the overall vibe of the evening. He was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely enhanced our experience.
Consistency in quality and standout service like that is what keeps us coming back. Looking forward to our next visit.

Brunch was amazing! Service was outstanding! We ordered so much food because everything we saw other customers eating looked so good. We ate every last bite of it! The fried shrimp and waffles were my favorite. I’m not a fan of sweet and salty but this sweet and salty combo might have changed my mind. The shrimp was so fresh and it was fried & seasoned to perfection!
