Quaint place, great service, delicious food
We dined here as a party of 4. The host was helpful and accommodating since we called the change the reservation a few times. We were seated in the back room which would be perfect for a large group but was also nice for us.
We had 2 servers (Jon and Ginger) which we liked because they communicated well and we got great service. The burrata and octopus appetizers were great. Our friends got the Caesar salad which was a large portion and came with shrimp on it. The bread with oil and vinegar was fresh and had a nice chewy outside.
I had the osso bucco (Ginger called it the “awesome” bucco) and it was amazing. The saffron risotto was lovely and balanced out the rich flavors of the meat. My husband had the spaghetti with clams and there was a good portion of clams. Our friends tried their meatballs and said they were great. The filet mignon our friend got was tender and had an amazing sauce.
The owner was funny and inviting. Our servers never let us lack for anything and Ginger hand-stuffed olives with blue cheese for us! They made sure we were happy and accommodated all of our needs. It was a lovely dinner and an even more lovely evening.

Well, I took my girlfriend there for dinner for her birthday. We get there we ordered our first was the appetizer which was the muscles. We got them 10 minutes apart, which I don’t understand what that was about. Mine came first which of course I gave to my girlfriend and I got mine second but she would not eat her until The Lion King and they finally came. We tasted it and it was my Lord the saltiest I’ve ever tasted any type of fish and I’m not talking about the fish. I’m talking about the seasoning. It was so salty like someone just poured salt all over it so I immediately set mine back and my girlfriend tried one and then she tried another different area was just a fluke. It ended up not being good at all. We sent it back. We were told we were gonna get a refund on both of those muscles and we should’ve because we only ate I think a total of four out of the entire two orders. Then we ordered our main course which was the Lamb shank with risotto and vegetables and I ordered the veal marsala without the mushrooms with mashed potatoes vegetables. We both got our meals again different times she did not get her vegetables till she was done eating her lamb so we had to bring half the stuff home I don’t know what that was all about our first time there we got told it was the best restaurant around. We waited two months for reservations. We finally got them and it was a greatest disappointment. I’m still waiting for a call back on the muscles because my bill was $133 for a lamb shank dinner and a veal marsala dinner with two glasses of grapefruit juice and a bottle of Perrier that is not $133. I’ve eaten in many restaurants in Bluffton and in Hilton Head Island and I’ve paid a lot less and got a lot more and a lot better. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore at this point in time because I feel that the most should’ve been taken off the bill. I think that maybe the COOK should lay off the salt a little bit being Italian that I am. I know that Italian is to cook with a lot of salt, but I’ve been going to a lot of restaurants and my favorite one is Pilates in Hilton Head Island that I gotta tell you something you can’t beat their food and I paid $133 for dinner there when I got Salad or soup a delicious bowl of mussels they were like the best and then the main course and dessert for under $140 for two people and was worth every penny that we paid for it. They brought the food at the same time they let us enjoy our meal slowly they didn’t rush us. They kept bringing bread out with the olive oil in the balsamic vinegar or the cheese. I kept us always with our liquids, which basically is the barrier and sometimes the grapefruit juice, but like I said, I just feel that they should’ve been a little bit more sympathetic about the muscles that was that was the reason why I went was for the muscles and they were like I just dipped them in salt. That’s how salty they were totally totally, totally salty. Being that I am a food critic. This was not a good message on their part as far as my reviews of their food at this restaurant.

Had a lovely lunch at Bricco, started off with a great Italian cocktail and warm bread. Being vegetarian, I got the caprese salad first, And for main dish the penne pizzaiola husband got the fish of the day cod with lemon and caper sauce. We both enjoyed our dishes, sever was great, atmosphere is lovely, the walls are adored with wonderful artwork, great lunch.

Fabulous dinner! We went on a Friday evening and it was a full house, restaurant and bar.
Nino and Pam were the most gracious host and kept stopping to check on things.
Although it was a busy night, it was not too loud and could easily hold a conversation.
Great food, all the pastas and breads were homemade!

Came late on a Friday night. Owner was very accommodating. Food was delicious as usual. Bartender (Carlos, I think) was excellent.

We had 5 different lunch meals, all of them wonderfully and intricately made. These authentic, home made Italian ingredients and meals, as well as the owner Nino and waitress Kathy have our hearts and full gratitude. A must during your travels.
PS: Get the Tiramisu!

This is a restaurant I used to love. I don’t any more and this is why. Last night we had dinner there with 4 couples (total of 10). I made this very special reservation a month ago specifically for the “wine room”. The owner told me the ONLY HE can approve the large round table in the wind room. We chose a date when that table was available. I reconfirmed our reservation in the wine room 2 days before our dinner. Can I just say that this was to be a very special dinner for the 10 of us. When we walked in Bricco’s owner says “sorry you are not in the wine room.” What? I personally talked to you and you assured me that you reserved this specific table for us and we chose a date that YOU told us was available. He shrugged his shoulders and took us to a long table that was shoved into a corner and very difficult to get into. Are you kidding me? It was so uncomfortable. I was so upset. WE WILL NEVER GO TO BRICCO AGAIN. You can’t trust the owner who promised that he made the correct reservation and would take special care of us. He just didn’t get it and he didn’t care that he made a BIG mistake. We never saw him the rest of the night. Oh he gave us dessert. Who cares. He destroyed our special dinner.

My experience was really wonderful. The service was great. I never had an empty glass. The food was amazing. It was seasoned perfectly. Would definitely recommend. My entree was the veal Marsala dish under “carne”. I can’t remember the correct name for it.

From the moment we walked in up until we left, the service was excellent! Our server, Travis, was very friendly and attentive. Further, my husband and I were impressed by how quick we were served our meals. While we are just visiting the area, we will definitely make it a point to stop here!
