The food was pretty good. French is not my usual cuisine, but I was traveling around uptown Charlotte and decided to try something new! I got the burger for the lunch special and my friend got their salmon salad, and my burger was quite good. It had an overpowering amount of garlic aïoli, which made it hard to finish, but otherwise it was good. The atmosphere was so nice. The restaurant had soft, beautiful music playing in the background. Everything was clean and the aesthetic was very pleasing to the eye. The service was a little slow. I was sitting at the bar and the bartenders came by multiple times without acknowledging us at the beginning, but I assume they were prepping and cleaning for a later service, but eventually they consistently came to us to get our order and make sure our food was good.

The meal here was outstanding, and the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and relaxed. our server, was fantastic, she shared her personal experience as a customer before joining the team, which made her recommendations feel even more genuine. We tried her favorites, and they absolutely did not disappoint. The service was seamless, with no wait to be seated, and the staff worked together effortlessly, creating a smooth and welcoming dining experience. The portion sizes were just right for two of us, we shared everything and left perfectly satisfied. From the food to the attentive teamwork of the staff, everything about this visit was enjoyable. It’s the kind of place that makes dining feel both personal and special, and we can’t wait to come back.

It’s a very elegant, peaceful, and beautiful place. If you’re looking for a French feel, this is it. The food is good, but if you’re in a hurry, this isn’t the place for you. The food, and even the hot chocolate and croissants, take a while to arrive. Even so, it’s delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, but a little slow. The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is because it’s not a mom-friendly place. As a new mom who was there today, I struggled to change my daughter’s diaper; there isn’t a changing table, not even inside the building. There isn’t enough space for a stroller, so you might be better off carrying the car seat or a 2-in-1. Enjoy your visit! ♥️ ✨️
Oh, by the way! If you’re vegetarian, there aren’t many options for you, keep that in mind!

We unfortunately were not impressed ~ First the hostess gave the wrong menu, and the paired down menu had no appetizers…odd. The presentation was nice but flavors , temps and textures unfortunately were not. I had to send the lamb picahanna back as it was too rare…was ordered medium rare. They seared it again and brought just the meat back, no accompaniments ~ also weird. For the price, you reset the plate.
Maybe just an off night being busy with valentines. With Fine dining , I understand things can happen as well, but there are certain expectations when you are paying those prices. My wife had the puff pastry Au Lapin , barely any protein. We were actually the first 2 dining at 5:15. The waiter, Sawyer, was very knowledgeable. The mussels and cocktails were definitely worthy.
We may give another shot once they relocate to new area.

Coquette is a charming little French spot. I ordered the Roquefort salad, mussels, oysters, and sabayon cream for dessert—everything was delicious. The atmosphere is super cozy, the restaurant is small but with lots of details that make you feel like you’re in France. I also loved that the kitchen is open so you can see how they prepare the dishes. The service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely a place worth visiting ❤️

Absolutely delightful experience!
I visited Coquette on South Tryon today and everything was exceptional — the food, the ambiance, and the service. I had a croissant sandwich with seasoned fries and a glass of red wine, and it was simply delicious. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere felt both chic and relaxing.
I’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommended for anyone who loves great French cuisine and a cozy yet elegant setting!

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Lanie was amazing! She shared her experience as a customer before joining as apart of the team. She recommended her favorites and they did not disappoint. There was no wait. Everyone was friendly and pitched in as a team. This was perfect for two people. We split everything and it was just enough.

Amazing food with a beautiful wine list. The service was slow, almost 20 minutes before we were even created for a drink order. Server was really there to take orders and not guide us through our experience. He was nice and excluding his delayed greeting, he was prompt to check on us between courses.
The restaurant is lovely, clean and inviting. The staff was very attentive.
The food was incredible…. Every dish… every bite. Excited to return.

Appetizers
The Tarte Aux Champignons (Mushroom Tart) was absolutely delectable. The crispy, buttery pastry served as the perfect base for a medley of perfectly cooked mushrooms. The balance of textures and flavors made it a standout dish—we could have easily had one each to ourselves!
Mains
The Omelette à La Française was herby and buttery, with a delightful side salad that added a refreshing touch. However, there was a bit too much butter for our liking, which slightly overshadowed the dish.
The Saumon Fumé Benedict had a comforting toast and the salmon was light and airy, though the presentation wasn’t as special as we expected.
The star of the show was the Duck Fat Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was elevated by the variety of aioli sauce options.
Desserts
We didn’t try any desserts this time, but the table beside us ordered desserts exclusively. The presentation suggested their dessert menu would be worth exploring on a future visit.
️ Service
It was a packed Saturday brunch, but our server managed to be attentive and accommodating despite the busy atmosphere. Their effort to ensure we were taken care of was appreciated.
⭐️ Overall Rating (4.2/5)
From the lovely outdoor seating to the charming interior touches (don’t miss the golden goose water faucets in the restrooms!), this spot is perfect for a cozy brunch with friends.

I Visit this Restaurant on a Saturday. I Was greeted by a really friendly Hostess. Once I was seated I waited about 15min for my server. Because it was my first time there I asked about the menu. All she said was that Everything was good. I ended up ordering an over priced wedge that wasn’t fresh and I didn’t realize that the shrimp was going to be an extra $19.00 so I ended up paying $44. For a salad. Such a rip off. On top of bad service. I tried to flag a manger down but he was standing by the kitchen looking on his cell phone the entire time. Before I left I chatted with two managers and the hostess about my experience. Only the hostess apologized. Lanie was my server HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! DO NOT SIT IN HER SECTION. BRODY is who you want to sit with. He was so awesome. But I do Not!!! Recommend this place. Go across the Street to Bernadine’s. Excellent food and Service.
