We had a dinner with friends at the chef’s table and it was so lovely. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Each course was artfully prepared and the dishes were delicious. My favorites were the lobster, duck, and mushroom/lentil.
This is definitely a special occasion type of place but we’ll worth it.

The meal was terrific! Had to cancel vacation plans and life gave us lemons so we decided to make lemonade and try some restaurants we wanted to try but never had the time . Coppia did not disappoint. Great food and excellent service ! We lucked out with the seasonal menu! Sea scallops, octopus, black cod and elk… terrific ! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We have dined here twice, once ordering off the regular menu and the other was the Chef’s table experience. Both times were absolutely fantastic! The wine pairing with the Chef’s table was perfect.
They also were able to accommodate our party for the Chef’s table on very short notice to celebrate our engagement. They made the experience extremely special for us and our whole family.
We’ve already can’t wait to go back to try their fall menu!

My husband and my first time there for a much needed date night and we were not disappointed. The service, hospitality and vibe were on point; plus super cool it’s inside an airplane hanger! Chef Talia was so gracious and welcoming at the bar. We had the pork belly appetizer that was to die for, husband had the elk steak and I had the champagne chicken. Every bite we kept saying “wow this is so good’” Great new local fine dining on this side of town!!!

We were sat on the patio, which was underwhelming. Could use some more ambiance since it’s next to a busy street. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was hit or miss.
– fried eggplant starter was delicious.
– Grouper and Orza was very good.
– Gumbo had no flavor.
– The chopping block steak was horrible.
– Field and Frost dessert was so good and interesting. I would highly recommend this.
– The Gorgonzola cheesecake was not our favorite. I’m honestly surprised this is an option when there’s only 3 desserts. The Gorgonzola was very strong, we were expecting a more subtle flavor.
We go out to eat a lot all around the Cleveland area. I think for the price, they have a lot of room to grow and improve.

My wife and I are total foodies and we have had our eyes on Coppia since they were in their first location. However, we never got a chance to eat there due to illness and other “life things” happening. Since then, Chef Talia and Chef Hedy have made quite a name for themselves becoming Chopped Grand Champions and also competing against Bobby Flay. Tonight, we finally got to eat there to celebrate our four year anniversary. We were a little nervous that we had set our expectations too high since they have become Cleveland area culinary titans. Sometimes good things get too big and they end up suffering. Well our expectations were met and well surpassed. The food was complex, balanced, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The grouper that we ordered was probably the best cooked fish I have ever had in my life. I wont go into detail on what we ordered because their menu is changing in seven days. But everything we had was amazing including the Gorgonzola Cheesecake Desert! At one point, Chef Talia came out and spoke with us. Talia was very friendly and it didnt feel like a forced conversation. We nerded about Disney World and discussed Coppia’s upcoming fall menu. You could see that she was very excited for it and basically said that it was going to be a more adventurous menu. More adventurous than Gorgonzola Cheesecake? Sign me up.
The atmosphere was great and was smaller than I thought it would be( this isn’t a bad thing). The hostess and server were unbelievably friendly and were very good at their jobs. At places like this, the attention to details and the smaller things is what matters most. Our desert had “Happy Anniversary” written on it with Mickey ears as the dotted i. It was nice to have that Disney World Magic here in Willoughby, Ohio for our anniversary. Ten outta ten would recommend to anyone. It is going to be really nice having a place like this so close to home on the East Side. We have already made our next reservation there!
Edit: I didn’t mention the cocktails, they were just as good as the food. Well balanced and flavorful.

An absolutely perfect night. We loved Coppia at their former Chesterland location and were excited to try the new space—it did not disappoint.
From the moment we walked in, hospitality was a 10/10. We were greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated, and it was great to see familiar staff who made the move to the new location.
The menu has expanded slightly, offering something for everyone. We started with the mussels, which were outstanding—so fresh and easily the most tender we’ve ever had. For our entrée, we ordered the tomahawk special with mashed potatoes, and it was hands down one of the best steaks we’ve ever had, and we’ve been to just about every steakhouse you can think of in the area.
We ended the night with the chocolate soufflé (a must) and an incredible espresso martini made with freshly brewed espresso—something you don’t see often and can truly taste.
It’s special to have a restaurant of this caliber in Willoughby. Coppia at their new location is just as good—if not better—than Chesterland. If you’re looking for a cozy, special night out, this is the place.
