Went for the insane loaded bloody Mary! It was a whole meal, table appetizer for sure! I’d definitely get a regular one next time. It’s worth the experience!
The service is amazing and the other food we ordered was okay. We’ll definitely go back and try some of the white board specials!!
It’s a pretty large place! We love the industrial look and feel!

Walked in and immediately felt like the mounted deer and wildlife heads on the wall were judging my breakfast order… and honestly, they approved. Danie was our server and she was an absolute rockstar. She knew the menu inside and out, had great recommendations, and guided us like a breakfast pro. We completely ignored her suggestions, of course, and still ended up with an amazing meal.

We ordered the French toast platter and the biscuits and gravy platter, and both were fantastic. There was no wait to be seated, and the food came out just as fast. I was tempted to wrestle my self-control and order a Bloody Mary, but I behaved and stuck with an Arnold Palmer.

I drove 45 minutes to try this place, and it did not disappoint one bit. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere, and even the deer on the wall seemed impressed. Definitely worth the drive.

Here’s a slightly punchier version too:

I drove 45 minutes to try this place, and it was worth every mile. From the moment we walked in, the mounted deer and wildlife heads on the wall made it feel like breakfast came with an audience. Danie was our server, and she was a total rockstar friendly, knowledgeable, and spot-on with her recommendations. Naturally, we ignored her advice completely, but somehow still ended up with an amazing meal.

The French toast platter and biscuits and gravy platter were both excellent. No wait to sit down, and the food came out lightning fast. I was tempted by a Bloody Mary, but stayed loyal to my Arnold Palmer. Between the great food, fast service, and fun atmosphere, this place absolutely lived up to the drive.

It’s hard to find rural restaurants that are open during the week but when I ended up in Stratford for work on a Wednesday, I had to check out Copperhead. The tenderloin was amazing and huge, and the cheeseballs tasted like they came from northern Wisconsin. Sounds like their brunch is incredible so I’ll be putting that on my list. Give it a shot, worth the drive from Ames for sure!

I had and shared the breaded pork tenderloin and onion rings, it’s that big!
The staff was very friendly and the service was great.
The tenderloin was of nice thickness, breading and seasoning were very good. The only thing was the oil seemed to be in need of a change out. Everything else was wonderful.

My whole family ate there after a hike and played some pool. Food was delicious, service was kind and even gave us a free game of pool. It was great

Great food, great service (our waitress was awesome and the beer was ice cold), also the atmosphere was warm and inviting (80’s classic rock playing in the background was a HUGE plus as well!) My girlfriend and I will definitely be back often

The food was gross. The greenbeans were mushy overcooked canned beans that they tried to flavor with soggy bacon, the instant mashed potatoes were so thick and dry it was like play dough. Then our poor server had to wait for the manager/owner to get back from somewhere to try and get me a different meal. I then ordered nachos, and they were awful! The cheese was brownish and grainy..I don’t even know how that happens, the chips were stale and like they threw them in oil to heat but just made them chewy. I tasted the guacamole but ewww, and I LOVE GUAC! I didn’t even bother to complain about the nachos because why?? Just ate the loss and left the plate full of food. The server was kind, and offered good service and the beer was cold, only two upsides to our visit. I’d go there to drink but not to eat again.

I always love the Copperhead. The food is fantastic! I had the walleye last year and it was amazing. Biscuits and gravy were amazing also. The Halloween party is fantastic every year. They go all out on decorations. Their live shows are great also.

The food was mediocre at best. The Nacho cheese was brown, green beans were over cooked canned beans that were just mush that they tried to flavor with bacon. The mashed potatoes were the instant box type that were so thick it was like concrete. Our waiter tried good hardest to make up for the kitchen staff but in the end couldn’t make up for it

I’m very glad for finding this place in Stratford. Very good service, the decoration is very nice, clean restroom and good food. I had a bacon bourbon burger with Mozzarella sticks as sides (picture) and it tested really good! If you are driving by Stratford area, don’t hesitate to stop there!
