5 stars on food and atmosphere but only a 2 on service. My first visit here and was severely unimpressed on the service. We started off with an older waitress but minutes into our visit they changed us with a younger waitress, reason unknown! Bad choice, we had to ask for EVERYTHING, salt, pepper, ketchup, napkins spoons ect. Nothing was on our table and what’s worse is she forgot everything we ask for and we had to ask numerous times. She seemed to be in a hurry, not once did she come to check on us nor once refilled our drinks in the hour and a half we were there. On one occasion I had to go into the restaurant to get something we needed and had previously asked for due to our server ghosting us, we were sitting outside. Me and my companion both were nothing but nice to everyone we had contact with that worked there so we done nothing to warrant this poor service! Upside, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was great as well! Still left a 10 % tip. I’ll definitely go back as I was impressed with our food and the other menu items I want to go back and try. Do better servers, I have no problem leaving a 20 to 30 % plus tip when deserving! To let you know, it was around 4.30 pm on a Saturday evening, not packed nor extremely busy at all, moderately busy at best!

Pretty cool little spot I’ve never heard about before. We got to sit on the outside deck by the docks. The sweet potatoe waffle fries were the best I’ve ever tasted with some apple butter sweetness for dipping. Amazing, the brisket sandwich was very good with the slaw, it was a little dry and a little light on the taste. Beers were ice cold I mean ice. Overall a 7.5 out of 10. Had some locals dropping f-bombs watching the game but apologized afterwards. I will try it again for sure

First off, I liked the story of how the establishment came to be. We were hopeful it would be a nice place to come for a steak dinner and sit by the lake. That didn’t seem to work out that way for us. The waitress was great though! I wish we could say that about the food. We ordered Fillet Mignon and Prime Rib. Neither of them resembled or tasted as such. I did ask for the Fillet to be well done, but it had no moisture in it at all, and tasted like rancid liver. The Prime Rib was the consistency of a well done pork chop. Not juicy, or tender at all, and certainly wasn’t like any cut of Prime Rib we’ve had before. And the corn on the Cobb looked very unappealing and not fresh at all! The Salad was really fresh and enjoyable. The ranch was better than the bleu cheese dressing (a little too much mayo and not creamy). The homemade chips were very burnt tasting. The French fries were nice and crispy and very good. The waitress was kind enough to take the Fillet Mignon off the bill. We were too embarrassed to let them know we didn’t enjoy the Prime Rib either, but I’m sure she noticed since we only took one bite out of it. We wish this establishment as lot of success. It just wasn’t for us.

We have been coming to this Copper Penney for years, we live close by. One of my favorite items is Cajun Chicken Pasta until last night, Friday 1/30/26. I order it with broccoli added. When it was brought to me last night , it was brown gooey mess, not Alfredo sauce, bits of broccoli tops just the tiny ends of the broccoli. Not sure if you had a new cook, new prep person but what they served me last night was not good and not the Copper Penney standard. Please look into what went wrong but I will not be back to order that again.

Finally got to try this restaurant after hearing several good things about it. I had the chicken alfredo, and enjoyed it. We ate on the deck, and it was the perfect weather in mid September. We want to come back and try the prime rib they offer on Wednesday nights.

Ok I will be honest. First the food verses cost wasnt the best. Had the house hamburger fries and chips with artichoke dip. The chips were cold and very salty the dip was also very salty.. couldn’t eat it the waitress brought another dip to replace it. It was much better. Fries were also over salted the burger was ok however the lettuce was wilted and tomato was mush. Now for the atmosphere. We were set in a very bright room near the bar over looking the river outside view was ok however the windows were dirty and the frame of the window had what looked like mold growing on them. 10 ft from our table was a black trash can that had food smears all over it.

Excellent food and friendly service though a bit on the slow side. Good soup salad and sandwiches today. Inside and outside seating next to the river.
Music is way too loud and salt is dirty (pepper?)
Thank you from your Arizona friends

We visited for lunch. The restaurant overlooked Lake Hickory so the view was beautiful. I had the bourbon burger with fries. Superb! Highly recommend! I could only eat half of it so I took it home for dinner. I’d love to go back and try the fish tacos.

This place is a joke. No one there was serious about working, or being there. Lots of youngins not getting much done. We had a birthday group of 12 Sunday at 1:00. Not many people in the restaurant, the party of 8 waiting in line behind us was turned away, after they waited 15 minutes just to see the hostess. So after our 30 minute wait to get seated with very few people in the restaurant. Our wait continues, we wait to order drinks, we wait to order food, we wait forever to get our food, we do our OWN refills several times while waiting, we got our own silverware while waiting, we got our own napkins, we got up to go find/get crackers for our toddlers who were phenomenal during this ridiculous wait, then we got up to ask for the check, and also said several times we needed to leave. The food is definitely not worth the money! The kids meals were not eatable, the chicken tenders were not touched they were too hard for the kids to eat, even the cheese Pizza was disgusting. The best part was the I dont care attitudes around there, and the fact gratuity is automatically added when we did everything ourselves. I was there for a birthday of someone who has been a loyal/ frequent customer who said the place is never consistent and the burgers are made different depending on the cook. Your inconsistencies are catching up more frequently to now your frequent flyers are talking x 11 more people in that party x the others that were eating there, seeing all this and talking to us. Word of mouth travels fast! 3 hours there was way to long for such a huge disappointment!

Stopped in for the first time Wednesday night, coincidentally, prime rib special night. Places can get prime rib wrong, but they didn’t. Decent cut and tender. Good side selection and the house-made horseradish dipping cream, almost whipped, was a good addition. Friendly and helpful bartender (at one of the three bars). I can see this place being crowded in warmer months, but in the cold, it’s a cozy spot on the water. Will be stopping back in for the January burger special before heading out of town.
