Dined at Coperta on Tuesday (12/30) and had a lovely, understated experience. I sat at the bar, which was quiet and comfortable—perfect for enjoying a few happy hour items and taking in the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and hospitable, creating a warm, trattoria-like feel reminiscent of Italy.
The fried mozzarella was excellent: house-made, perfectly coated in garlicky breading, and served with a rich marinara that tasted like an authentic nonna’s sauce—savory, balanced, and comforting.
The polenta fritta was decent but could use a bit more seasoning and crispness. It would really shine with fresh Parmesan and Italian parsley, or even a simple sauce on the side.
I appreciated the smaller pasta portion, which feels intentional and true to Italian dining—more of a tasting size that leaves room for a second course. The bucatini was cooked al dente and paired with a delicious sauce featuring house-cured pork. The savory-sweet balance and bold cracked black pepper flavor really stood out.
Overall, Coperta delivers thoughtful Italian cooking with genuine hospitality. A place that values tradition, quality, and a relaxed dining experience.

We went here for a casual date night. The food was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. For the price point and the quality of food, we would definitely recommend. The Suppli appetizer was delicious. The ragu and cacio pepe were our two favorite mains. We will for sure go back.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Coperta in Denver. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for what would become one of our best meals in years.

Our server, Kristie (or Christie?), truly made our evening special with her kindness and welcoming demeanor. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered expert recommendations that enhanced our meal beyond our expectations. It was like reconnecting with an old friend. She is incredibly personable and we left with huge smiles on our faces.

Now, let’s talk about the food—specifically the pastas. Each dish was nothing short of divine; every bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It’s clear that the chefs at Coperta take great pride in their craft. The bruschetta was also delicious!

Overall, the combination of exceptional service and exquisite cuisine makes Coperta a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

Daine with Offline – Excellent location in a small micro-climate neighborhood of Denver near the downtown area. Food tasted great and presentation was done well. Prices were reasonable with excellent service.

This was our first visit and we were happy with how things went!

The gentleman who greeted us and took us to our table was very nice and accommodating! Our waitress was also very nice! She answered our questions and also made great suggestions and recommendations about the menus! We were under a little bit of a time crunch, but she was still very polite and attentive!

Food wise, everything was delicious except for the salmon special they had on this night. We ordered 2 because we had a group, and one was underseasoned and overcooked, and the other was undercooked a bit, at least for our liking. However, the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe dish was amazing, and so was the Goat Cheese and Chive Ravioli and The Lamb Shoulder! We loved everything except the salmon, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Also, their smaller menu consists of weekly items, so they may change and can be different than what people’s pictures show.

The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant was laid out very well with how the tables were situated. You didn’t feel cramped or too close to other tables, which was great! Some restaurants, especially Italian ones, put the tables too close to each other, but not here.

Overall, we were very happy our friends took us here! We will be back for more of that Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe entre! I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant!

I’ve had several great meals here, so I was excited when my fiancé booked a table for my birthday tonight and damn was it an incredible way to spend a birthday. The food was, as always, delicious, perfectly portioned and timed great between rounds, but what made it extra special was the service. Everyone here is so genuinely kind, down to earth and lovely. They made me feel like the star of the show, even with a full dining room. We were checked on frequently, but not obnoxiously, and our plates and silverware were cleared quickly between dishes. Our menu questions were answered honestly and we felt guided in the right direction. 10/10 meal, service and restaurant atmosphere! If you haven’t tried Coperta, head over asap, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

The food was amazing. Best bruschetta I’ve had in a long time. The ragu was also flavorful. The atmosphere is so cozy but a little elevated. Great for a date night. The servers were all so kind.

Chef Reilly selected a flow from the menu for my BFF and me. Each plate was visually appealing and every bite tantalized the taste buds. Antipasti: Roasted Heirloom Carrots and Chicken Sausage. Primi: Cavatelli Ragu, Winter Squash and Taleggio Caramelle; Braised Beef Agnolotti. Secondo Braised Beef Cheek. Dessert: Calabrian Potato Donuts and a light Chocolate Cake topped with sea salt and nuts. Chef also helped us select the wines. Bravissimo!

Came here for a solo birthday dinner tonight. Faith was my server and she was absolutely wonderful. I really appreciated the options for non-alcoholic drinks, which were delicious with a more sophisticated feel. The food was to die for. They took very good care of me and gave me some special extras for my birthday, which made my day. I’d highly recommend this spot.

This was my third time eating at Coperta and every time has been phenomenal! The staff and Chef Kenny are superb in every way. It’s so hard to find good Italian food in Denver but this cuisine is great! We were there for the Chef take over from Chef Dissen and could not be more impressed. From the wonderfully simple but full of flavor martinis to the amazing new age potato soup it was all so thoughtful and well curated. The normal menu rotates and has plenty of amazing dishes as well. Stop by and enjoy a culinary delight!
