We are proud to bring San Francisco our signature Tijuana-style tacos and authentic fare from all across Mexico, made with seasonality and love by Julio Aguilera – our Chef and the nicest guy we know – inspired by his upbringing, travel, and learning from the best taqueros out there. The new menu makes Copas seem like any other Mexican eatery in SF, with its unassuming menu items like “taco”, “burrito”, and “guacamole”. But don’t overlook this place! It’s clear that the chef has put a lot of care and attention into each dish. Each was very well executed, and these were the best taco, burrito, and guacamole I’ve had in SF! My favorite part was the taqueria filling meats, which have SO much charring and smoky flavor. Literally every bite was loaded with charred pieces, while still being juicy!

We had an amazing time. They have a wonderful selection of tequila, and the drink menu is great. We tried a bunch of different dishes and every one was perfect! The bartender and servers were all great and JJ really knows tequila. They have awesome art work on the walls and we were lucky enough to meet the artist. I will go back!

We arrived at about 6:45 pm for dinner on a weekday. The host greeted us with the utmost kindness & we were delighted to see how spacious the interior is as there is no outdoor seating. The staff was prompt, patient, and kind and the food was full of flavor. Each dish we had was delicious and made with quality ingredients – Mary’s Chicken and New Zealand wagyu to name a few!! Even cooked med-well, the burger patty was flavorful and juicy (only downside is we found the mustard to be a bit much and will ask for it on the side next time) We definitely want to go back for dinner and to try their weekend brunch! Cocktails looked delicious but I had to stay virgin with a crushed blackberry/strawberry and club soda drink. Also super refreshing and not too sweet!

I’ve been for dinner twice and enjoyed my meals both times! The chicken and rice dish even inspired my husband to start making rice like theirs. The pillows are very tasty as is their sourdough and jamon. Fun drinks too!

Outstanding in every category. Easily one of the best cocktail menus in the city. For Dinner the chicken is amazing and shareable. Definitely our new favorite brunch spot. The new smash burger is a perfect 10. get the burger at the bar starting at 3pm happy hour. Bread is to die for and egg sandwich is delish.

Been here around 5x already and I love it every time. Yesterday’s instance (July 27) was one of the best as they featured new items on their menu that included the esquites (super creamy, cheesy and complex!! A flavor bomb!!) and the burrata with tomatoes and croutons slathered in salsa macha. The Copas smash burger was a bit of a letdown though. One patty was enough and I thought it needed more dimensions in it like lettuce or tomatoes or something. The meat on thin brioche was too overwhelming. Nevertheless good burger in all but not the best.

Came here on a slow evening and was impressed by how large of a space this was. It was great for our larger party. We started with lebaniega bread which has a nice toast as well as a good whipped yogurt chimichurri spread. I wished the jamón was a tad thinner. Their octopus was soft bite size pieces that were lost in the dish. The passion fruit bites though they were fresh were an unexpected tartness. Sunshine beans were great. Chicken was a good portion with the dirty rice. The sad part was when presented to us, our server just complained about how slow off a night it was. In the cheesy pillow dish, the potato dumplings were good with a nice crisp but the mushrooms seemed to have absorbed all the bitterness of the dish (rosemary) which many of us complained lingered until dessert. Desserts came out staggered with about 20 minutes between the citrus creamsicle and churros. Churros we’re under done in the center and left a film if oil in my mouth.
