Keep away from Deep Fried Items. I joined a group of 15 people for dinner on a Wed night. Whoever was running the deep fryer did not know what they were doing. Everything that came out of the deep fryer was overcooked and dried out including the ribs and the snapper. The snapper made a great picture though – even if it was not edible. The other menu items were good. One person had a fish baked in foil and she said it was one of the best things she had eaten. I had the scallops and calamari with mixed vegetables, and it was good. The service by our server, Maria was good. The kitchen was slow. It took 45 to 50 minutes to get our entrees. I give this restaurant three stars because of the culinary disaster that were their fried entrees. Would I go back – not sure.

This restaurant has great energy and atmosphere. They have seat outside with a band playing more up tempo latin music or you can sit inside where you are serenaded with more melodic spanish song sung live. The menu is comprehensive and the food is spot with flavor and pretty authentic. The coffee is phenomenal as were the desserts. A must try if you’re in Mt Dora

Great Cuban good in Mt. Dora. Portions are generous, mojitos were made well. Great service, we were 7 and they were very attentive. Will be back when visiting this area.

I’m a Cuban food lover. I came in here thinking is was going to be good like other Cuban restaurant I have been too. But unfortunately my moro rice my so so, over cook, and tasty alright. My husband ropa veja was didn’t have much seasoning. But overall I give it 5.5 out of 10.

I would of given it 4 stars but my croquette’s were cold in the inside. I did not tell the server as I have learned my lesson on sending food back. There was live music which was nice, and they allowed us to eat outside with our two chihuahuas in their stroller. I found this place on bring Fido website. We ordered the ribs platter with yellow rice and red beans. Very tasty. Hubster also a cocktail mojito which was very good. It was warm outside , they need some fans. Ordered the guava bread pudding, excellent.

The service was good but the food was very disappointing. As someone from the Caribbean, I expected more flavor. The pork chunks were very dry (you might be able to tell from the picture), the rice tasted reheated and old, and the rest of the food was just okay. This place is highly rated on here but in my opinion the food falls short. Overall wouldn’t come back.

The food was good, as always, and the service was excellent. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because the bread was cold. My fiance and I love the pressed Cuban bread so we were disappointed when we were served not 1 but 2 baskets of cold, hard bread. Otherwise, we really like Copa and will definitely go back.
