Coop’s Pizza is an absolute must-eat!
Every time I stop in, the staff is friendly, the drinks are ice-cold, and the pizza comes out piping hot — just the way it should be.

And I’ve got to mention the beautiful pint glasses they’re serving with — yep, those are County Loop Custom Pints, proudly showing off local businesses and community spirit!

Great people. Great pizza. Great atmosphere. What else can you ask for?

Pizza was unexpectedly good. Crust was different than I’ve had before, but in a good way. BBQ chicken pizza was my favorite. Very flavorful. Standard cheese was solid as well. Great pizza spot in town.

Sorry about the picture. It doesn’t do the pizza justice. We just couldn’t wait to dig in. We picked up a 12 inch Meat Eater and it was fantastic. We are visiting the area for a few days and we were just too tired to cook so we decided to do take out. We searched for pizza near me and this was the first place to pop up, so we decided to try it. Glad we did. Looks like a nice place to dine in as well. We noticed plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a full bar. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We highly recommend Coop’s Pizza.

Went here years ago, didn’t see what all the fuss was about. Service was lacking and the pizza truthfully sucked…. Popped in today 7/25/25, the atmosphere was completely different, the fish tank is gone, seems better decorated and feels larger. The staff were keeping busy, little kids were running around which really made it feel family friendly, warm and inviting. The hostess Chloe was wonderful and extremely polite. Our server Lora H was very nice and checked in on us throughout our meal. The pizza is better made, definitely worth it! Even bought a frozen one to take home!

New owners and very pleasant people! Pizza buffet was fantastic, salad bar and soup…although today my focus was pizza. They no longer sell beef and menu prices on line have not updated yet with their printed material. No worries it’s worth the wait. Jam packed, cooks and servers were busting their read end to keep everyone up to par. Highly recommended!

We frequent Coops’s Pizza quite often and never leave disappointed, the staff is always friendly, helpful, understanding and very professional. The food is fantastic! We’ve had their famous pizza, lasagna, fries, pressure cooked chicken, garlic cheese bread and Root Beer Floats! If you leave hungry, then you didn’t order enough! We love the atmosphere, our kids always love the taxidermy mounts on the walls and on the support beams.

I highly suggest eating at Coop’s!

I’ve tried Coops 4 times now in the past 4 years of living here. Every time it has been a major disappointment.

The pizza is on brittle cracker crust that is burnt on the edges but uncooked in the middle. The sauce is tasteless and has no spice/kick to it at all. Every pizza I have had from this establishment, both take out and dine in, has a literal pool of grease on top of it. I’ve tried pepperoni, cheese, meat lovers, and supreme – this was NOT a one off bad experience. I understand pizza is greasy, but not like that.

I know what you’re thinking, why do you go back?

I keep hoping that I just had a bad experience once. Or twice. Or three times. But every time is bad, and not just “oh it’s a little greasy” bad. Like “why didn’t I just bake a frozen Jack’s pizza at home instead” bad.

The place seems like a cool establishment with an arcade and signs all over town about giving back to the community. I WANT to like it here, I just can’t do it.

My husband and I had been sick over Christmas. We came to Hayward and thought a pizza might taste good. Crust was so good thin and crispy. Toppings fresh. We went to Hayward today and got another pizza plus two frozen.

I have lived in Hayward most of my life and grew up on Coop’s Pizza (heck, even longer than that, it was originally Village Pizza before Craig bought it). We ordered two pizzas, a 14″ and a 16″. Right away when the pizza arrived I noticed that they looked to be the same size. We measured them and one was 13.5″ and the other 14″. Same size trays, took the same space. Measure your pizzas!!! Upon eating the pizza we also noted that the crust was different. Took the original pizza that has been around for 50+ years and made it taste completely different. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Craig didn’t change it and it obviously worked for him. We double checked the bill when it arrived and, yep, paid for a 16″ but got 14. If you are going to “renovate” the pizza’s crust and ingredients, then change your name. It is no longer a “Coop’s Pizza” that you are selling. Is this how you are paying for all the renovations? Just remember, it is the locals that support you YEAR ROUND.

Have tried other pizza places in the area, Coops is the best by far. Others that claim to have home made pizza, use a pre-made crust,…I’m glad to see that the new ownership has not made any changes to the grea pizza we’ve been enjoying for the past 20+ years!
