Lovely first-time experience at Cooper’s Hawk. Our server did an excellent job pairing us with exquisite wines, which really elevated the meal. We had the Mahi Mahi, which was absolutely delicious—there was nothing left on my plate. The food was reasonably priced, and overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be back.

Spent my birthday dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it! Staff was very pleasant – we even had a visit from the manager, nice touch! Chile Calamari was fantastic. Short Rib Risotto really good. Chicken risotto was sort of disappointing (too soupy) but the Reese cookie and ice cream made up for that My son enjoyed the wine recommendation- very nice ,will definitely visit again❣️

We are wine club members and enjoy the benefits of being club members. The membership itself is generous and provides a good value. We enjoy the rotating seasonal menu in addition to their regular menu. It is nice that they offer a wide selection at brunch and I personally like their Sangria’s. The one challenge is when picking up your monthly allotment and being asked to purchase multiple memberships. While this might appear to be a value if you are purchasing additional bottles of wine, I really don’t like being asked every month to buy an additional membership.

I loved our waiter who is Royal. He was fun, energetic, and we shared stories. He was very accommodating, trying to help me figure out how I could have a fabulous lunch without eating seed oils, and they also helped by cooking my stuff in real butter.
I ended up making a little bit of exception of what I ate yesterday I ordered the short rib grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup. I really did enjoy the grilled cheese sandwich, but I thought the soup was just OK. We used to belong to the wine club, but it was very unfortunate because we felt that the wine was very pricey, overrated, and most of it we didn’t care for. We kept trying and trying, but then we had to finally cancel the wine club.. they do have some fun stuff for gifts if anybody is interested and they have an amazing steak salad.
I WOULD RECOMMEND

I can almost guarantee that when Jocelyn is the manager on duty that I am going to have a five star experience. My evening started off with Karli and our wine tasting experience. It’s been great watching Karli start in her first week to a year later being one of the best wine stewards at the Scottsdale Cooper’s Hawk.
My husband and I enjoy dining in the bar for a casual and fun experience. Jacob was our server and I have wonder why after 3 years of dining monthly, we finally had the best server we’ve ever had. Jacob was friendly, knowledgeable, fun, interactive, and very professional. Definitely 5 stars!
When we received our appetizer and then entree, we couldn’t have been more impressed. We’ve never had a bad meal but this particular meal was exceptional. From the pretzel bread to arancini appetizer to the grilled heirloom pork rib to the perfectly paired Barbara = EXCEPTIONAL!!
Thank you ALL for a perfect evening.

We were in the area and decided to stop in for an early lunch. Which turned out to be a really good idea. The food was truly amazing. We started with the Arancini which was a special appetizer. Life changing. The Chimicuri and avocado spread with so good and the rice balls themselves, perfectly delicious. The two of us had to work at sharing three because we both wanted two. My husbands grilled cheese and short rib sandwich was very good with the tomato bisque. Classic American lunch. I had a cheeseburger which was perfectly prepared. All of the food came out at a good pace. The portions are just right and the meal was not over the top expensive. We are looking forward to going again at dinner and trying the various entrees.

This is a chain with many tens of locations in several states. Have been a fairly regular visitor over the last several years (total maybe 10-15 times over last 6-7 years) though never written a review before!
Overall it has consistently delivered good value for the price. Most significantly it has a very exhaustive wine list at a much more reasonable price than most restaurants. An additional fun fact is that if you ask, the red wine will be served in a nice festive decanter at your table-side which makes for a memorable evening and this is at no extra charge!

The menu items have not changed much over the years but they always deliver good value. There are at least two all vegetarian dishes (bruschetta and brussel sprouts) and several other items.
The dinner menu has meat and fish dishes and a couple of specifically vegetarian pasta dishes.
Their surf and turf menu delivers great value – a hearty two protein meal served with potatoes and a decent portion of vegetables.

Service has always been excellent. Be aware that the wait staff is trained to sell you wine club membership when you sit down (monthly fee for 1, 2 or 3 bottles per month that comes with free wine tastings) but they won’t bother you if you let them know you don’t want it. (We had it earlier for a couple of years, then stopped).

It is also a great place for brunch. In Scottsdale there is an outside patio area with heaters overhead heaters if it gets too cool – just a wonderful way to spend an evening with wine and good food.

They can be extremely busy and to enter you have to go through a hoppingly lively bar area, where people are clearly having a lot of fun. I would probably never go with having reservations ahead even on week days – I imagine it might be impossible to get in.

Overall a very good value, great vibe, and a place definitely to go to, specially if you like to try different wines!

I came in a couple of weeks ago and had a great time at the wine tasting center — the staff was friendly, and the experience itself was awesome. Signing up for the wine club was easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, when it came time for dinner, things went downhill. My group spent about $400, and the food just didn’t live up to the price. My steak was severely overcooked, my friend’s was undercooked, and her drinks took forever to arrive. Our server was friendly and attentive, but the overall dining experience was disappointing.

What really pushed me to leave this review, though, was my experience today. I drove an hour to pick up my wine club bottle, only to get home and realize I’d been given the wrong one. When I called, I got a short apology and was told, “Bring it back, and we’ll exchange it.” That’s frustrating — especially since this is my very first month in the wine club. It would’ve gone a lot smoother if the woman checking me out had shown even a bit of kindness or engagement, but she didn’t even make eye contact. Now I have to drive nearly two hours round trip just to fix a mistake that wasn’t mine, all for a $20 bottle of wine. Really disappointing experience overall.

Cooper’s Hawk is my go-to restaurant and we decided to do tastings then dinner for Christmas Eve thinking it would be fun. However, the personalities of the sommeliers who attended to us are drier than any of the Cabs. They limit their interactions and made us very uncomfortable as a gay couple. Good thing dinner was good as we were seated on time but I will not come here again for tastings.
