The spicy cucumber salad was of ample size and VERY spicy to us. The fried chicken for the sandwiches I believe are thighs and the breading was great. It’s just that the chicken pieces were small on my sandwich, but bigger on others. The fries and the onion rings are fantastic.
We all (party of five) had never tried a Mochi donut so we ordered three different ones. We liked them all. I’m not a donut fan, but these might convert me.
This is a one and done place for us because of the service. It is worth going once for the ambiance, onion rings, fries, and chicken. And I might order take-out next time.
Not only do they have delicious donuts and a great variety of food and drinks, but the whole spot is a vibe! Perfect for snapping photos or videos – it’s super Instagrammable with all the fun props they offer. The service is quick and friendly, and the chicken is extra crunchy (so good!). The drinks have unique flavors that I really enjoyed.
For just $4, you can even take some adorable, memorable pictures in their photo booth area!
I’d totally recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and great vibes.
The options for beverages is plentiful, while the food menu is smaller but has a nice variety. You have options of salmon, chicken or tofu. The Nigiri is available for a limited time. And the have a variety including pork and beef and tuna.
Pros: reasonable prices, local eats, good size portions, fun and unique atmosphere. Service is efficient. Very fresh.
Cons: make a reservation if you don’t want to be rushed. They do take walk-ins, which we were, but they had to check to make sure they could accommodate us. Get used to people moving around taking pictures with you wanting to take pictures too.
Blend in by wearing white and black.
The corn soup was delicious. We had salmon poke bowl and the spicy don chicken. The Nigiri was not a favorite of mine, the only reason for the 4 star. And the jasmine hot tea was $5.00 for one cup. Should be at least two cups, imho. The donuts are $19/6.
3 of us ate for $122. 3 drinks, 3 entrees, one order of nigiri and 6 donuts.
The soup of the day was corn chowder and was delightful.
They offer seasonal flavors of onigiri or you can order the regular salmon onigiri. If you purchase 5 onigiri, you get a free miniature sword.
Kids are given tokens to play the claw machine.
There are several methods to earn a free photo booth session. As your waiter.
There was only one waiter on shift and it got a little busy before we were done which caused it to take a while for the waiter to fulfill our requests.
Online I thought there was more interaction and places to take photos, it was okay.
The vegetables I didn’t eat, they were extremely salty. The curry was good. The chicken burgers are no longer on the menu. The donuts were overly sugar and the bread was not fluffy (I got the strawberry and churro donuts). The staff was friendly enough, but had to ask for extra bowls, water, and the check several times.
Id go for the photos as a tourist but not got the food.
I had a great time at 2D Restaurant—definitely a unique spot with delicious Asian cuisine and a super creative atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, the black-and-white 2D decor pulls you into a fun, cartoon-like world that’s perfect for photos.
Our servers, Faith and Alexander, were absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
The lemonade was so refreshing, and I really enjoyed the Oreo donut—a perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The food overall was flavorful and satisfying, with a nice variety of Asian-inspired dishes.
Whether you’re going for the food, the vibe, or just some cute pics for your feed, 2D Restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
The only issue was the place feels kind of dirty. You can’t see in the pictures because I didn’t take any closeups, but the floors are muddied and everything is kind of scuffed. There is this awesome van in the deck that kids can play in but it’s absolutely filthy inside. The seats are dark gray with years of dirt and the seatbelts look moldy. It’s pretty nasty.
As far as I can tell the kitchen and bathrooms are clean, but the place feels like it needs to be touched up (and that van needs to be deep cleaned). I still think it’s awesome and would recommend going, but the wear and tear makes it feel less cool than it would be if it was refreshed.
