We recently came to Cooper’s Hawk for a birthday celebration. I want to start by saying the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the egg rolls were truly phenomenal. I would honestly only come back just for those. Absolutely delicious.
Candace was our server, and she was amazing. She was attentive, kind, and made the experience enjoyable. I highly recommend asking for her when you visit.
Unfortunately, the main course was very disappointing. My mother-in-law and I ordered the surf and turf to share, and when it came out, we were shocked by the portion size. The steak was very small, and the grouper was also much smaller than expected. For the price, it felt unreasonable especially when it was served on what looked like a standard dinner plate with minimal portions.
What confused us even more was that other people at our table ordered lunch portions (much cheaper), and those plates were large enough for multiple people to share. The inconsistency didn’t make sense to us.
We did speak with the manager about our concerns, and they responded respectfully and were understanding about the situation, which we appreciated.
Overall, great appetizers and outstanding service from Candace, but the value of the surf and turf was extremely disappointing for the price point.

Cooper’s Hawk,
There is a lot to talk about here. The staff first of all is FLAWLESS. They did a phenomenal job at making everyone feel comfortable,heard and seen. (I was there for a birthday party in the private room.) They give a thumbs up to everyone to see if everything is okay if someone is speaking at a table or during events.
They have freshly made dark chocolate dessert truffles, the Crème Brûlée is a dark, dreamy, sea salt caramel, and the salmon is silky and not at all sticky. During weekend’s their wine bar is BUSY, so come early. The decor is winery chic, so definitely dress up when you go and make a day of it. Really plan to be there, to slow down, be seated, and enjoy the cool, dark, atmosphere. If you ever watch the television show Last Man Standing, this restaurant really resembles the elegant restaurant on the show. Also, say hello to the geese when you come in. They love to peek through the windows to see who is there. I absolutely recommend this beautiful place.

I was very displeased with my experience at the Oak lawn location Dec18th. It was very different from several other experiences that I’ve had at other Cooper’s Hawk locations. I dined at the table and the bar and the service was lackluster. My lunch entree at the table was pretty cold the apps were delicious and a good temperature. I noticed other diners were offered bread, I was not. It took a very long time for my server to check back in on my table by the time she brought me hot mashed potatoes,I asked for them to go as I was ready for the bill. I shortly returned because I wanted to try the Sangria Flight I had heard of from social media. It looked to be barely 4-5oz in each glass. I posted my Sangria Flight on Tiktok where the video has went viral for the lack of presentation . At the bar it took about 15-20mins for the HappyHour quesadillas which I ened up getting to go because it took so long and I had to leave at that point. I wasn’t quite sure why the server and bartender weren’t attentive as it wasn’t quite busy during my visit.

I never have an issue when I go to my favorite spot, I really missed this place and tonight they didn’t disappoint. my server was Naz , multitasking was her thing tonight and she did it well and with grace. Me and my partner were pleased with the hospitality and food. The wine Lavender Bee’s knees was definitely a must try. Thank you again Naz have a great night.

I went for a Birthday dinner on a Sunday evening, and the wait wasn’t long at all. The customer service and the food was good! The restaurant was a bit dark and it had a unpleasant smell to it. Outside of the restaurant, I definitely want to return for a wine tasting!

The food was pretty good. The server was friendly and did his job very well I believe his name was Rome. I had high expectations as this is my first time dining at Cooper’s Hawk, but I would not go back expecting a fancy upscale experience.

I normally opt for the Soy Ginger Salmon, but I decided to try something new. I got the short ribs instead, and I don’t regret it. They were well seasoned, super tender and the potatoes complimented the flavor of the meat. The only downside was the veggies that came with the meal. Crispy onions were a nice touch, but they did not mask the flavor of the tangy veggies. Not my thing, but next time I would just modify the veggies. Service was wonderful. It was super busy and full by the time we left.

I visited this location for the first time on Saturday, September 6th, with a party of two to celebrate a birthday. I had originally reserved with the Oak Park location but changed it to Oak Lawn because of the reviews. I regret that decision.
From the beginning, the experience was underwhelming. Our server Lizette, greeted us and brought water and bread. The bread was very hard. We took some time to look over the menu since it was our first visit, and placed our order after about 15–20 minutes. I ordered the Dana’s Parmesan Chicken and my boyfriend got the Classic Burger. The food was okay, but nothing memorable. My boyfriend even said the fries were the best part.
The service was where things really fell short, she didn’t take our menus after we ordered; we had to ask her. We ordered a bottle of wine, and my boyfriend even showed her the exact one he wanted. She brought wine glasses, but the wine didn’t come for another 15–20 minutes and when it did, it was the wrong bottle (we realized that after it was opened). No wine chiller was provided either.
We were only given one napkin each (the one wrapped with our utensils).
The bathrooms were dirty, with only one stall having toilet paper.
By the time we finished our meal, we were so disappointed we skipped dessert even though this was meant to be a birthday celebration. I asked for the check and waited about 15 minutes, then another 10–15 minutes to get my card back. The section wasn’t busy, so all this waiting felt unnecessary and frustrating.
I understand it was a Saturday night, but we didn’t feel prioritized or even noticed throughout most of our visit. Better service could’ve made up for the average food. unfortunately, both fell short.
We had high expectations, but this visit was a letdown. I truly wish we had stuck with the Oak Park location instead.
