This is a veterans place. You can smoke at the bar, not in the dining hall. Air is filtered. They have some people still working here who make the atmosphere unpleasant some days. Overall, it is a good spot to eat, drink, and hang out. They are trying to change things and make it more friendly they now play more music and have karaoke available & Pool tournament’s also happen occasionally. I visit at least every week and dine here and get a drink.

Food was good, server was pleasant friendly and pricing was very fair. Only issue was the cigarette smoke. My wife and I are not used to and quite intolerant to smoke and it permeated the area as the bar is immediately adjacent the dining area. Probably won’t be back but only due to the smoke.

I really enjoy going to the Legion to eat! It’s different than all of the restaurants in town that everyone ALWAYS goes to. Even though they do allow smoking in the bar area, the Dining Hall is totally smoke-free & kid friendly, which is nice since I have 2 toddlers. It’s a real family environment. Everyone is happy to see everyone, and they welcome you with open arms. It’s got a REAL small town vibe. Plus, it’s UNLIMITED servings of Fish EVERY Friday! How awesome is that?!
