I truly don’t normally write reviews because it’s not worth the time. But this place is wild. The food was absolutely disgusting. Burgers were burnt. Mozzarella sticks had no cheese in them… I’m not kidding. Service was absolutely horrible. As a bartender myself, the ladies working on Saturday night were slow, rude, and just straight up BAD. The live band was terrible. Only clapped when the band stopped because I thought the set was over. Vibes were also so weird there. Honestly this place just sucks. Oh on top of that, for all the food I got that I couldn’t even eat, it was 75 dollars. FOR TWO BURNT BURGERS, OVER BREADED PICKLES AND NO CHEESE IN MY MOZZARELLA STICKS. Insane wild. Do better. Genuinely will not be returning… ever. Peace cricket.

I ordered the shrimp scampi cheesesteak and it literally had two shrimps in each one and tasted gross. There was nothing Scampi about it lol. The fries were overcooked, Shrimp quesadilla had 1 shrimp in each piece. I wouldn’t have done this if it weren’t for the prices. For what they charge, it’s definitely not worth it. I feel like the only people who like this place are the people who go there everyday and live at the bar there. Spent 150$ and what a mistake! Do not order from here. Not worth it! you’re better off going to any other Bar and restaurant around Fieldsboro!

So this is a hard review for me, I live very close (currently). Their wings are phenomenal for the price and the kitchen is open till 10pm. I came in at 9:30 after a late night and the wings were just as good. Wings 5 stars, the rest is 3.5 stars. Atmosphere is not for everyone but a good time and the regulars are very nice. Free shuffle board and a few bucks for pool. It is definitely worth trying on a Wednesday or a late Friday or Saturday night as they are open late and know how to party. I’ve come on quiet Sundays and middle of the week, all was well there too. It’s a solid 4 stars overall and that is a brutal review for a place I truly love. **edit** alcohol is relatively cheap. Mixed drinks could use some work but lots of options. I got 8 wings and a miller draft for $9.89 (03/2024)

This Restaurant is so great, food is very tasty and the service is really excellent. We first ordered drinks obviously and the waitress was so fast at serving us the drinks, it was amazing. It’s family owned and they give much effort in giving their guests a good time. Definitely worth a visit

Love the Cool Cricket! A new favorite. Stopped in to kill time awaiting a friend’s train arrival at Hamilton Station, just 15 minutes away. Evening crowd comprised of friendly regulars, bartenders are accommodating and easy going, and the bar seems to favor the juke box over sports broadcast (a positive!). Read that the wings were solid so ordered half a dozen rat style (mild, buttery, garlic Parmesan) wings and loved them.

It was what I expected. We all had fun. We ordered pizza, sweet potato fries, wings..all food was very good. It made us all..want to laugh, when I asked for sugar for my iced tea. 2x!! . Both times, the waitress brought me a dispenser of (only) those pink packets of generic, sugar substitute. When I asked, if she had sugar..she pointed to the 2 dispensers of the ” saccharine” type sweetener.. With her quizzical look, i knew, she was truly confused, when I asked for…
‘real sugar’,!!! With an honest and totally confused reply..I heard a low, soft voice state, “Miss., This is real sugar”.!!.. .At this point. I just didn’t know what to do with the situation, so I politely said, “Thank you,”.. after she left, my friends were ready to say something sarcastic..but instead, just said.. “well, she’s probably young”..>. I personally, …just don’t ever remember being ” that young”!
The band was really good. But, the lead singer got upset when a lady, at a table, was looking at something on her phone. He actually went to her table with his microphone and made a point of asking her, “why she wasn’t paying attention to him.”.?? Honestly, I’ve never seen a singer be so egotistical as to, interrupt his song, to find out why 1 person wasn’t mesmerized by his “average, local bar, band voice”!.. The band was really good. Selection of songs was awesome and some people were dancing. I was just surprised and got defensive 1 woman appeared to be getting bullied.
Perhaps, I’m just getting too old to go to bars.!!
