I can’t rave about this place anymore. You have to come early but the cinnamon rolls are so amazing. Just the right amount of soft and fluffy. They do fill up pretty quick so I would put your name down as soon as you can, normally there is a wait but it’s worth it for the food. The servers are also so nice and the restaurant is so inviting

Great place to go with family and friends! The food way amazing and there was a large menu to chose from, there’s something for everyone here! I personally had stuffed waffle with cinnamon and maple and it was the bomb! Our waitress was also super friendly and peppy, the right kind of energy I need to start my day off right! We did wait a while for our food but our server made it up to us by bringing out a homemade cinnamon roll which I realized after eating it that we would have totally missed out if we didn’t get one. I’ll definitely be returning here soon and I won’t forget the cinnamon roll next time!!!

Cook’s Cafe is an absolute must for breakfast. The food is consistently delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for starting your day on a high note. True to my style, I didn’t take any pictures—just enjoyed the experience and every bite. Breakfast at Cook’s Cafe is one I’ll keep coming back for.

Better than average breakfast diner. Eggs were fresh, smoked bacon was good, bread fresh and food was prepared well. I really loved the atmosphere. Marble with a touch of mahogany and old fashioned brass…bathrooms and all. Tile on the floor was pretty nice. I would have given them a 4 plus, but once we were sat, we waited for 10 minutes to order and then another 30 minutes before our food arrived. Just too much waiting after we were sat and it wasn’t that busy either. In all, it was a better than average experience.

It’s been about a year since I discovered that Cook’s Cafe had moved to their new location, and they’re still as fantastic as ever! The place is really nice—truly an upgrade from their old spot on North 66th. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.

I revisited recently and tried their western omelette again, and oh boy, the ham is still as chunky and delicious as ever! This is exactly how a western omelette should be made. This time around, I went with the hash browns instead of the country potatoes, and they were just as good—perfectly crispy and wonderfully seasoned. Cook’s Cafe continues to deliver on quality and taste. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Kids wanted pancakes and we were close by, off to Cook’s!

We were told it was a 25 min wait but were seated after about 10 . Almost immediately my daughter spilled her water everywhere which is usually my bulldozer son’s department. Within seconds our server and a coworker were on it with towels and it was rapidly resolved. Rather impressive actually.

They got their pancakes, both ordering identical plates. Kids cake upgraded to a Happy Face with Strawberry Banana. They loved every bit of it, my little one literally humming a happy tune while he ate.

I am on a French Toast kick and chose the Sweet Combo with hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. Also ham which the kids split. It was yummy, fluffy eggs, crispy hashbrowns. Totally hit the spot!

I really liked our server Jackie, a total pro, she was on top of it! Wait times on food are consistently long but food is great and reasonably priced.

Please note that prices on their website do not match their current menus. It happens. The only problem I had with it is the kids menu in person listed the upgrades as $1 and we were charged $2.50 per plate. That may sound inconsequential but when the pancakes start at $3 that’s like double. I would likely pay it again, it just would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Great little breakfast place in Lincoln. Popular on a Saturday morning, and I can see why. We split a Chicken Fried Steak meal. I liked their batter, which has a peppery flavor profile. I asked for biscuits with my gravy on the side and my wife had the biscuits and gravy. Eggs were cooked nicely. I added ketchup to the steak and the hashbrowns… Yeah I know, I’m weird. Anyway, recommended if looking for a breakfast spot on the east side of town.

Hidden gem. Holy moly be prepared tp share their version of pigs in a blanket with 3 others. The pancakes hang off the plate. Service was good. Food came out in a fear amount of time during a busy time. The restaurant seems like it needs a good cleaning or some updating. Aside from that I would recommend giving this a try.
