It’s cool in there, workers are nice, but they didn’t put no damn Cajun seasoning on my fries…. So…. I’m salty about that

I went to cook out 2 days ago. I was leaving a funeral and just got back in town from Maryland. I ordered a burger tray and got two eggnog milkshakes as a drink and one to take home to my wife. The food was good besides having so much onion on the burger than usual. The milkshakes on the other hand were horrible. My milkshake had a pice of hair in it that looked like eyelash hair. I did not notice until after I already tasted the milkshake in which tasted and smelled like freezer burn. So i then opened the lid and found the hair. The other milkshake did not look like it had hair in it but it also smelled like freezer burn and decided not to taste that one. I spent $16.42 here for the items i received. The customer service i received was good in terms of help but I just have a feeling they knew it smelled like freezer burn and still gave it to me. Just tell me and i’ll order differently is all I would’ve wanted from them. But their greetings and kind words were phenomenal. I wish for a refund or at least a remake on that order!

This was the fanciest cookout I have been to. The interior looked freshly remodeled and very clean. The bathroom was so nice I took a picture, ha! Both staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. They seemed to enjoy their jobs.
Food speaks for itself. Can’t go wrong with a burger that tastes home grilled, Cajun fries, cheese bites or quesadilla, and a cheer wine!

The cookout Augusta is beautiful nice location blah blah blah, Customer service is bad, my family and I was passing through, traveling to another state decided to stop at cookout for some food the cashier Renee was rude and impatient and don’t need to have a customer service job, when she has a attitude for no reason , also the person who is on line building the food is shorten us out of food and that’s a big problems, also Renee the cashier over charged me for my drinks and gave a smaller cup. I could go on but you get it.

I have nothing negative to say about the food whatsoever. But today, I pulled up to the drive through speaker and waited probably 30 seconds for someone to come on the intercom. I wanted to make sure they knew I was there so I said “hello”. The lady came on real sharp saying “I’ll be with you in a minute sir”, like she was frustrated that someone was at the drive through.
I’m always as nice as I can be to the people waiting on me at fast food restaurants. You just never know if they’ll do something to your food. And I genuinely enjoy interactions with new people. But this ladies attitude was rude and sharp and condescending. Mostly tone and how she comes off.
I’m sure I will go there again, because it’s close to our shop and it’s great food, but management needs to tighten down on how their employees (especially first contact with customers) treats the people that support their business. It’s a very bad look and really doesn’t have to be that way. I also heard the same lady being sharp with (who I am assuming was) a new hire because she didn’t know how to do something. That’s not the environment you want to create for employees culture.
So I gave it one star because I feel the owners should know and take it seriously. Not because I think they always deliver a 1 star service. But to give them an opportunity to deal with this problem. I don’t want you to reply by saying to call xxx-xxx-xxxx. You don’t have to explain yourself or apologize. This is for YOU to do what you need to do so that your customers aren’t made to feel this way.

Very hit or miss. Some times the food is very good, good portions. Other times you get next to no food. I ordered the 2 quesadilla tray, so the quesadillas were my entre. They gave me like, half a teaspoon of chicken in each dilla. Like i get it if i ordered the side quesadilla, but this is my main food! Im still hungry:(

I love Cook Out and this location fails every time I go. As well as every other location in Augusta. The staff are always rude and the food doesn’t even look appetizing. We went on 10/12 and the staff were only concerned about getting food out as quickly as possible and not concerned about quality. When you go out to eat now a days, it is difficult to get food in Augusta that is worth the value. Also difficult to get food that doesn’t need to be doctored when you arrive at the house. My milkshake wasn’t even blended and my boyfriends food looked like it was just all slapped together with no care and was cold. People struggle to make enough to go eat, so please have some respect when making people’s food. Lazy, rude, and completely uncalled for, and would be a good idea to start listening to people and not talking over them when you are working in customer service. DO BETTER COOK OUT EMPLOYEES!!!!

Double cheddar burger no mayo, chili cheese fries. Even says it on the receipt. Huge glob of mayo, almost no cheese on fries. Huge glob of chili like more chili than fries. Weird. Fairly pissed off tbh. $13 down the hole and I work construction so there’s no returning it.
Won’t be back.

Solid option to get food if you’re in a pinch for time, or looking for something very late at night, as it closes at 4am. All of the food is average but the price for their signature combo “The cookout tray” is very reasonable and comes with with adequate proportions. That being said, almost every time you visit any cookout location, there will be at least 1 thing wrong with your order, so be sure to double check before leaving. This time they didn’t even bother to put a drink in my large cup, just filled it to the brim with the small crumbles of ice and maybe put just one squeeze of coke so the color would have a brown hue like a snow cone just to fool me. Overall, it’s fast food restaurant, so the experience is what you’d expect. However, it is nice to eat something that’s not Waffle House for the 200th time when you happen to be out and about or driving at a very late time.
