We’ve gotten burgers here once, and they were adequate though somewhat on the smaller side of the spectrum. However, their shakes are great and there are lots of choices to select from to suit your tastes. My wife enjoyed the Oreo shake and I had the Heath Toffee one. Both were delicious. Since there were a few cars already in line, I just did the walk-up window for the first time. Quick and polite service there. No dine in option that I could see, so plan accordingly to wolf it down in your vehicle (thus the “meh” score for atmosphere).

Sloppy service.
The staff was quick to take my order and put it in. There were only a few other cars in line, so I ordered and got to the window quickly. I ordered a double burger tray and slowly named off what I wanted on the burger, to ensure I got it all correctly as they missed ingredients the last time I visited. I asked for onion rings and cheese bites for my sides. Now when I left the drive through with my food, it was definitely wrong. I got the cheese bites and those were good. The onion rings were a corn dog instead. The burger was close but missing multiple ingredients again. It was on the receipt correctly. Just wrong in the burger. And everything they did put on the burger was all stacked on one side instead of spread across like you’d normally do when making a burger. Please don’t turn the Cookout name into the same “I don’t care” level as McDonald’s.

I stopped here for lunch today and the service was so exceptional I had to write a review. The guy working driver thru around 12-1ish today was amazing! I drove up and off with a smile due to his customer service. He did not rush me and made sure I got everything I wanted. The food was delicious and hot, they did not forget anything and it was fast.

I can’t give any less stars than a 1 star. My husband walked up to the window and a gentleman said she had walked off 5 minutes before and he was waiting on his food that had been sitting by the window that no one handed him. As Scott waited the other lady walked away and after about 10 or 15 the lady from the drive thru took his order. She rang everything up separately and didn’t ask of he was ordering trays until she gave him the total and he was shocked. She fixed the total but was rude about it. He brought the food home and my Cheeseburger was at least edible. The corn dog was over done and not good. The fries were hard and way too done. This was a very BAD experience and cook out WAS Scott’s go to fast food restaurant. He eats at them several times a week all throughout NC & SC while on his work route. This experience will change his mind and we’ll find another restaurant here in Lancaster.

I never in my life complain about my food here but today I am giving them a bad review they got my meal wrong about 4 times now and mine chicken is hard as a rock as well my mom asked for plain chicken wraps and chicken sandwich for me to eat guess what they didn’t listen, they lost me as a good customer and I will never eat their old food again because they cooked my chicken in old grease, their fries are not that good at all. Today was the last TIME I WILL COME BACK AND EAT THERE. Cook out also asking for cash only today and they don’t give out napkins you have to ask for them, and you have to ask for things for your fries and burgers as well when you order a plain one. NEVER WILL I be desperate for their food again now on taking my business elsewhere sorry but when I took my sandwich and chicken wraps back all they did was take off cheese and mayo and lettuce and on my chicken sandwich they took everything off and give me back the old chicken that is hard where I am ashamed but cookout is not a good place to eat for me anymore I rather eat at Wendy’s or sonic or seagulls or Arby’s or grinders so there for I am sorry cookout but you lost me and few other people good luck but you won’t ever get my card again until you hire someone who knows what they are doing and take out the old grease that’s bad for people’s health so have a good day and goodbye.

Lousy service in drive through only location. Right lane will just stop with no explanation, while left lane moves on with orders. This just happened to me. I had to back out of right lane with 2 other cars, the one in front of mine, and the one behind mine. I had been waiting at least 10 minutes! We all 3 had to back out and unsafely and re-enter the left lane to order. No one apologized or explained the problem!

Mixed review as my cheeseburger tray was cooked perfectly, but my wife’s burger had patties that were still very raw in the middle.
As someone who has hearing issues, I appreciate that this location has a walk up window as I find ordering at Cook Out through the drive through frustrating.

Affordable Fence Guys
If the girl at drivethru paid attention after saying it twice she might get a order right. Took the outside lane same girl 2 visits in row she got food order wrong because she takes part order pauses 2 or 3 minutes then finishes getting order. She needs be taken off drivethru. Food to the trash once again because I ordered BBQ sandwich plate with hot sauce not a BBQ plate.
Guess she to busy flirting or having fun at work than getting orders right!
Top it off its all cold either way.

i’m not one to usually complain, i’ve only been in lancaster for a few months. i’ve had the same cookout order since i was 9. the banana fudge milkshake is my absolute favorite. i’ve been to this location 4 times and only once has my milkshake been correct. the first was banana pudding, second was straight chocolate, third was good, and the one i got tonight was peanut butter fudge. the cheese bites are practically cold and virtually rock hard. the tomato on my burger was bigger than the patty itself. that part isn’t that serious but it’s just the cherry on top. as someone who loves cookout and has been to several locations across the carolina’s, this location has just given me a bad experience too many times. it’s disappointing overall
