First time trying it. Got a regular burger out west style with white cheddar bites and hush puppies. Everything had a good taste, good burger. Definitely try it again. Only thing i hated was getting in and out with traffic.

This used to be the only decent Cookout in Spartanburg. People just don’t care about their job anymore . My entire night was spent stuck in this line of only 4 cars. Stagnant for 30 minutes with no way out. No apology at the speaker. Just a go ahead when you’re ready, say my entire order because no response between trays. No response after speaking. Had to get his attention to repeat my entire order again. Tells me to pull up, another 20 minutes to get to the 2nd window. He then asks me what my order was again that he must have missed it. I repeat my order to him AGAIN, he walks away, comes back and asks me what my drink was, I told him sweet tea. He said, we don’t have that I just told you that. 1: HOW does Cookout not have sweet tea and 2: you DID NOT just tell me that. I get home an hour and 15 minutes later and no Oreos in my Oreo milkshake. Like I just don’t understand who is managing this place and how they hire incompetent rude staff.

My chocolate shake had chunks of styrofoam in it and when I tried to call to let them know of the problem, their number took me straight to a voicemail. I wish i could attach a picture because it was mixed all in the icecream. This is why I hate eating here. I only tried it again because my husband likes their burgers.
Edit: replying to the restaurant- And no cookout I don’t want you to make it up to me. I can’t imagine what I will find in my food next, so I won’t be eating here again. Your staff should’ve answered the phone the first time.

I wanted to try this location because I thought the atmosphere would be different. I placed my order and sat in the drive thru for about 15min before getting to the window. Once I paid the gentleman I could see and hear a young lady shouting things that were unnecessary and being loud for no reason. I pulled off shaking my head and got home with my order to only find out that the Cajun fries I ordered were not Cajun at all but regular. I called back several times to notify them about the mistake made but the phone continued to ring and go to voicemail. Needless to say the wait and my first time experience there was a waste. I do want to say that the gentleman who took my order was very nice and respectful.

First and foremost, 20 minutes is entirely too long for a cookout tray. Secondly, I asked for grilled onions bacon mustard and cheese I didn’t get the bacon and the onions were raw. My corn dog was burnt. I ordered a Cajun chicken wrap but instead , I received the ranch wrap. The restaurant was understaffed and there was no management in sight. This is a complete failure of management. I used to love cookout and made it a point to go to cookout whenever I pass through the area. This was my last visit.

Never thought I’d have to leave a bad review on cookout.. Place was super dirty though. And I had to wait for service and it was not busy. Food was horrible pork sandwich was drier than the dessert. Coleslaw was dry as a bone.

Cold burger patties, lady at the register got the order wrong and added things to our order and we didn’t even say we wanted it. Gave only about 6 fries in our box and forgot all the toppings on all of our burgers.YIKES

Usually cookout is really awesome. It sucks to have to leave a generally negative review. The guy who gave me my food and change did not look at me, or talk to me whatsoever. And worse than that, I fell for the marketing campaign of the fresh watermelon milkshake, which is easily the most disgusting milkshake I’ve ever tasted in my life.
With that being said, my normal cookout locations, in Greensboro, North Carolina, are exceptionally well-staffed, and most of the food I get there is normally great. Maybe whichever City this is in just does not hold the same pride in their location.
