We like to eat at cookout, we used to love the food, its generally delicious! Unfortunately right now its poorly made in a haste. This particular cookout (Elkin) has consistently (x4) messed up either the food (incorrect ingredients, over cooked, and or serving stale food), or the order itself be incorrect.

Staff was nice and food came fast, but the food was all cold, dry and hard. I got the burger tray, my burger was nearly inedible. The cheese bites and onion rings that came with it were nearly nonexistent. Won’t be back.

Somethings not right about their milkshake anymore it taste like plastic yogurt so gross, I asked for peanutbutter banana mixed with caramel cheesecake
And they gave me a completely different shake I’m done cookout going to Sheetz or sonic for now on for my shakes…. Also every cookout I go to for sweet tea taste stale now. Even my kid said yuck.so.i.know it’s not just me….
Edit: appreciate the response but I’m not sure if you can do anything without going back to using real ice cream for your shakes….

This is the third time in 2weeks….I ask for extra seasoning on the fries and they put NONE…The tray is for some one else that ask me to get the food…..I personally don’t like the food there. The guy on the window seems to be hearing impaired…. honestly he needs to be in a different spot not on the mike taking orders if he can’t hear.

Food was a little burnt, asked for a chicken quesadilla tray. Well the quesadilla was a little burnt, no quesadilla sauce on it, barely any chicken and also asked for an extra quesadilla dip. Well there was none of that. Oh and to also add I got 3 cheese curds. Very disappointed…..

I was disappointed in tonight’s order. Usually, they are friendly, and my order is generally correct.
Tonight, there was an employee at the drive thru, she didn’t mark any of the drinks which made it confusing for us to go thru. She also had really long, fake nails on, and I’m not sure about their nail policy but for me it seemed unsanitary and way too much for a fast food joint. Nothing against false nails but, it’s my food…
The food was also quite smaller than the portions they usually give out. The burger patty itself was small, compared to what they usually serve.
Overall, it was disappointing I’ve not seen this place serve food like that, or be as careless as they were.

Terrible food at a cheap price, you get what you pay for. BBQ was straight out of an Ol’Roy dog food can. Fries were soggy and hush puppies were burnt. Slaw leaked out inside the bag. Chicken sandwich from another location was just as bad. I would rate less than one star if I could. I usually give 3 stars for a restaurant at least if it was edible but this place is terrible.
