We stopped by this Cook Out location on our way back from Fayetteville on July 31, 2025, around 5:30 PM. The woman taking orders at the speaker was fine, but when I got to the window, she was not friendly at all.

I ordered a vanilla and chocolate milkshake, but it barely had any vanilla in it. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until I was already on the road heading to another city. I also had to request a fresh order of onion rings because the first batch was soggy.

I wasn’t given a receipt. Another concern is the strange placement of a metal fixture right next to the drive-thru window. I saw a truck turn the corner and scrape his vehicle on it—it left a visible mark.

Overall, I won’t be coming back. What’s incongruent is that Cook Out puts Bible verses on their bags and other items, but the service doesn’t reflect the values those verses promote. I also recently had to call customer service about a separate issue, and the representative I spoke with was unprofessional and kept cutting me off mid-sentence.

Went through at 6:15PM January 30. My wife and I have worked at many Cook-Out locations. I got an Out West style big double burger tray with fries and a ranch wrap. My wife got a Cook-Out Style big double burger tray with Cajun fries and a chicken quesadilla. What we received was possibly the very best Cook-Out trays we have ever had. Everyone was friendly. This is the best location in the area by far!

We went to the Raeford location tonight around 9pm. We brought it home and our 14 yr. old daughter bit into a medium rare burger. It was disgusting. She had to throw it away.

First off; I will never go back to this facility My first time ever visiting cookout. I use their drive-thru service to place my order I waited about 2 to 3 minutes before anyone even came on the speaker I had to say hello hello and then I got a response I ordered a tray with a single burger my toppings were grilled onion mayo lettuce grilled onion and light mustard When I tell you that sandwich was drenched in mustard no ketchup at all. I’m glad I checked my sandwich before I left
I went back to the drive-thru to let them know that my sandwich was not made correctly didn’t get an apology whatsoever. When they remade the sandwich and handed it to me it still was not made correctly I refuse to go back through the line because I didn’t My food being tampered with because of my complaining. Not to mention I was never given a receipt neither was my change count it back to me I will never go to this particular Cookout again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

As a former Cook Out employee, I know exactly how things are supposed to be done, and my previous visit proved it could still happen. Everything was spot-on: order accurate, quality perfect, customer service solid. Sadly, that standard seems to be the exception now, not the rule.

This time, the cashier was friendly and efficient, credit where it’s due. But then she handed my credit card back with the bag (without my credit card receipt), with the bag turned toward herself. Not being able to see my card, or know it was with the bag it slipped out, hit the ground, and only when I asked for my card, then did she tell me where it was, on the ground. Not exactly the level of care I was trained to give.

After 28 years in this industry, I know to check my food before leaving I should have. I asked for diced onions and got a whole slice instead. She even repeated “diced onions” back to me but still rang it up as just “onions.” Attention to detail, or communication to the kitchen, gone.

Then came the kicker: I took a sip of my drink and discovered most of it was pooling in my cup holder. Why? I was given a cup with a hole in it.

I’ve seen Cook Out at its best. I know the expectations inside and out. But the stores near me aren’t holding the same line anymore, and it shows. It’s disappointing to watch a brand that built its name on quality and consistency slide into “good enough.” I’ll still stop in a couple times a week, but not because they’re living up to the standard, more because I’m a fan and I’m holding out hope they’ll remember what it is.

This was our second attempt at this location. The first time, we were at the walk up window and waited over 15 minutes-they weren’t busy in the drive thru. We ended up just doing the drive thru. The worker had an issue with orders, we figured they may be new. Drove 5 minutes home and the food was cold and the sides were wrong or missing. We went tonight just for shakes. The same drive thru worker took forever on each car. Didn’t understand I wanted 3 different shakes. Strawberry, chocolate and chocolate chip mint. They verified the strawberry and mint one at least 3 times. When they finally said all 3 and the total we got the shakes and went home. Strawberry ✔️ chocolate ✔️ mint??? Looked vanilla with chocolate chips, so maybe they used peppermint. Nope. First sip, it was cherry pieces. 2nd sip, cherry and chocolate chip. It’s like going to the McDonald’s on Club Pond road.

I’ve had cookout from this specific location a few times since it’s opened. Haven’t really had any problems except maybe missing sauce or making something small wrong but I wasn’t too worried about it since they just opened. However today, i went about an hour ago. Purchased two trays, one being a two chicken quesadilla tray with cheese fries & a wrap. Everything was fine until I bit into my quesadillas. Very little to no chicken in them, very skimpish. I usually don’t complain but this is just sad. Please do better & yes, both of them looked like this.

Please don’t eat here. Worst experience from a restaurant ever. My cup had a roach in it. Sadly after I’ve drank it all. I opened the cup to use the ice for some water then I noticed it still alive. And the burger was two makeshift pieces of meat which I didn’t sweat as long it was good and it wasn’t at all. I didn’t go back because I was on the way home and I live an hour and a half away. I haven’t had cookout in about a decade and it should have stayed that way. And the service isn’t great either.

These are the patties on my Big double burger today. These are not burgers, they are hockey pucks! My husband and I are retired and live on a very fixed income so we don’t go out often; this was a giant waste of $22 dollars!

I ordered a double burger and they only gave me one patty. Paid for a double but got a single—super frustrating. If I’m paying extra, I expect to get what I ordered.
