My husband order our food, customer service is great despite their constant business. No problems besides the trays that we order are not always what we are paying for. I don’t expect our trays to be slammed to the rim, but for what we order we get 3 nuggets and 8 cheese bites in a tray ? I can order a separate side of those and get more packed in a little bag than I can in my tray. Again service is great as always, just need to work on the packing before handing it to the customers

On the snow day, January 26, 2026, I showed up at 8:30 PM craving some cookout. They were one of the few restaurants that were still open! They provided great service and were very kind, they said they were supposed to close 30 minutes ago, but they stayed open just in case a few more people came in. I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Cook Out. Reasonable accommodations should be made for customers who need them, and in this case, the employee failed to do so.
The drive-thru speaker was malfunctioning, which already made ordering difficult. Instead of allowing my husband to place the order at the window given the circumstances, the employee refused the order and told him to go back around. That response felt unreasonable and dismissive, especially considering the equipment issue was not the customer’s fault.
Situations like this can be handled with patience and basic professionalism, but that wasn’t the case here. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable when simply trying to place an order.
Customer service matters just as much as the food. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff are better trained to handle situations like this with flexibility and respect.

I had an unacceptable experience at the Cook Out on Franklin Blvd in Gastonia. My order was misunderstood due to a faulty drive-thru headset, and instead of handling it professionally, the employee raised her voice at me. When I reached the window, I was left waiting, spoken to disrespectfully, and ultimately had the window closed in my face and was refused service.
This entire situation was caused by poor equipment and lack of professionalism. I’m a regular customer and spending money here just to be treated like this is unacceptable. Corporate needs to address staff behavior and provide proper equipment.

This is definitely fast food. But it was freshly prepared! The shakes that we ordered were excellent and nice and thick. Had to eat with a spoon! Nice inexpensive place.

My food was on point! It Tasted amazing and was hot and made just the way i asked for it to be! I have NO complaints for this location! The line was a bit long. Would not have given any stars, but couldn’t. My husband and I were really hungry and stopped to get a burger to take home. Lady at drive through kept talking to other coworker about them being shorthanded. We waited in line about 20 minutes before placing our order. When we got home to eat our burgers, they were raw all the way through. We will never stop to eat at this location again.
