What a unique experience! Highly recommend supporting their mission. I had the pork quinoa bowl for breakfast, and the salsa verde was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the french toast bread pudding that was amazing. Leave some time to tour the grounds after, such an awesome experience.

Our favorite place to eat when visiting dubuque. They are a not for profit with a dedication to the community. Service was excellent… prompt and efficient. Their facility is beautiful and you can take a self guided tour while waiting for your meal. The food for all three people in our party was extraordinary. We had breakfast and everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We didn’t have any of their specialty drinks but the table next to us did and they looked fantastic so we’ll definitely try them next time.

Food – Average at best. Not what I expected, but not awful either. The sweet potato pancake and sausage were okay.

Had a great time at disco brunch. Quiche of day was great and our server was great. They were busy but they handled it like champs. My recommendation stop worrying about seating times. If there’s a wait. Grab a cup.of coffee. Hand out on the comfy couches and chat with friends. Definitely recommend you check out this place.Great music during disco brunch. . Not too loud very easy to have conversations and

Really liked the vibe and the concept of the whole place – really cool! Soup of the day and sandwich was also pretty good (best cheese I’ve had ever). One thing is that the service did take a while, and they forgot a couple of things. The servers were super nice about everything though.

Excellent all around!!! Fresh from scratch sauces and jams that are made from produce grown in their gardens. I love their mission.

I don’t know how they did it but they made a simple bacon, egg and cheese panini one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! And such a unique concept! Its a garden-to-plate restaurant, built in the heart of a downtown neighborhood, with art from local artists featured in the decor. Their food is made from scratch with ingredients picked from their extensive garden complex built behind the restaurant. Herbs and spices, vegetables, even the eggs gathered fresh from hens they raise! And after eating you can tour their gardens. So cool! And sooooo delicious!

I have only been there twice. Once was for a story time that the public library put on and it was fantastic (this was years ago-prior to COVID). Then most recently we came for a tour and stayed for lunch. Four families with a bunch of kids. The moms had planned to make the ordering SUPER simple, but the waitress was so stressed out and said we had to order in the order we were sitting. It was nonsense and took way too long. My order alone was going to be so simple (four waters and four sandwiches-all the same sandwiches), but yet, I had to keep an eye on the ordering process the entire time to see if one of my kids was up and with having two little ones under three it was just ridiculous (and my kids are very well behaved). It wasn’t like the food came out in that order. We reassured the waitress that we could pass out our food if we could just order the way we wanted, but she was so stressed and said no. They have board games and that day they were located by the kitchen door, which is not our kids fault that they congregated there to check them out and play. While I’m sure the staff would like for kids to play games at our table, our kids also enjoyed being right there to pick out the games, but a waitress was frustrated that the kids were in her way. Why put them next to the kitchen door? It didn’t seem as kid friendly as it was our first go around. While I love the concept and I loved touring the gardens and seeing the chickens, I don’t think we will be back. It wasn’t a very welcoming place from the start at least those with kids.

What a beautiful discovery. All food is made on the premises and with their own produce wherever possible. See their website for all the community and outreach. Wonderful service by people who want to be there. This will be a regular stop for us and any one who visits us.
