. We were met at the door and seated right away. This place is a little dark on the inside but lit around the tables. Our waitress did a great job explaining the menu and options. My wife had the fish and chips and I had the cottage pie
Both meals came out in about 15 min. and were piping hot.
We both thought the meals were very good and would certainly love to come back and try some of the other dishes.
They are in a hard to find location, but seem to have a good
following, thus only 4 stars.
I gave it all five stars, except for the service which I gave four stars, cause it seemed like the staff waiting tables didn’t exactly love their jobs.
As for the food, the Irish beef stew had a wonderfully authentic flavor, though the beef was a tad rougher than expected on this occasion. The fish and chips were good and definitely worth trying for those looking to capture a taste of Ireland, though it fell just short of the experience we had in Dublin.
The staff at Conroy’s were a standout aspect of our visit. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, making sure to check in on us periodically throughout our meal, which added a nice personal touch to the evening.
All in all, if you’re in the mood for some genuine Irish fare and a great pint of Guinness, Conroy’s Public House is certainly worth a visit.
Wifey had a great pork tenderloin as well.
I added a side side of sautéed spinach. Very good flavor. Also a grilled cheese.
Wifey had a side of cole slaw, which was great.
Will be back.
My food was hot and delicious. I received a healthy serving of both cottage pie and fish pie. I rounded off my order with apple pie which was unexpectedly well crafted, pleasant to the eye and undeniably rich in ingredients.
The prices were slightly elevated, considering it is basically a pub. Overall, I was pleased with the service, comestibles, and the fun decor!
