An old-school joint that has historic roots in Wichita, the chips and salsa was just as expected for a Mexican restaurant except that refills cost extra. The steak fajitas were delicious and the tortillas were warm and tasty but pricey by old-school Tex-Mex standards. The rice and refried beans was just as expected and so was the fillings for Tex-Mex food.

Listen, Connie’s is great, it really good food and salsa chups are the best. I even ate a bunch while we waited on our meal and I literally asked for more salsa verde for my chips. I waa just eating them like crazy. I don’t know how long it took for the food to arrive, i usually don’t time people in restaurants because I’m too busy laughing loving and living, plus i had all these salsa chips to eat. So crispy and they were warm, too! I was kind of shock because usually restaurants don’t warm up the chips (for whatever reason!)
My overall experience waa very positive and it was a great time to wait for food. I hope to eat more of their salsa chips and hey, maybe I’ll go extra and get TWO cups of salsa okay??? Yes that will do fine. Thank you.

My favorite pork deluxe burrito and fried ice cream in town. !! Huge and juicy and incredibly wonderful burritos as always! The fried ice cream is just the frosting on the cake! I’ve been going here for years and it’s just great food even the hot salsa is just perfect! I’m bummed the Pepsi products are no longer offered for drinks but Dr Pepper worked out fine. The atmosphere was not 5 star just because it was so loud and the flies were driving me crazy but trust me it’s all worth it when they bring out the food!! Still a favorite eating spot for me!!

Family owned and operated. Excellent meal. Stopped by there for lunch today. Our Server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the taco, tostada and cheese enchilada plate. Fried flour taco cooked to perfection. The homemade(? salsa, it had to be) was so flavorful and the right amount of heat. I love their enchilada, especially the sauce they made for it. Wow. This was my first time there. I will definitely be back. Go try them out!

Prices on everything have increased dramatically! Salsa was good. The food was mid (nothing to brag about).y fr8ed flour tortilla was practically burnt, and they used a potato as a filler to make the taco look as full of meat as it does in the picture. Just not as impressed as my first visit a few years ago. Is it because of the operations change??? ♂️

The chips & hot salsa is wonderful. I was told the mild was great too. Service was fast & friendly as well as the food being good. The only downside is the acoustics have something to be desired. It gets pretty loud so conversing can occasionally be challenging. If it’s not a romantic dinner or business meeting I’d say overall the prices are right & it’s well worth the dining experience. There’s a good amount of parking near the door too. Yum!
