The service was fast friendly and efficient. There was a steady flow of customers. I paid 18.21 for Western burger extra patty and large fry. Fries were well cooked and salted, imo they seemed to be fried in clean oil i tasted the oil pretty strong. That’s just me. i don’t always taste oil, so it stood out to me i still ate half of them. As far as the burger, the bun was on point. BBQ sauce was very well portioned and tasty, maybe baby rays. The onion rings there were 3, not really notable. i could barely taste them in there.3 sliced bacon weren’t that thick or crispy or flavorful. The hamburger was bland and had little to no seasoning. I had to taste it alone to taste a slightly salted patty. The meat quality wasn’t there for me wasn’t bad at all but besides, a slight salt flavor there was no beef flavor detected. I totally am not unhappy with this place, nor am I impressed as I was truly hoping to be. A lot of people find this great and comfort food, and i can also not see why, it doesn’t matter, of course. It’s just my humble opinion. Restaurants that sell a lot of food for a long time have to keep it simple. This explains why I find it simple and okay. Lots of stuff on the menu, idk if I will try it again. I been in sacramento a long time if I had eaten it long ago. It probably it would churn up some old memories. I didn’t, and it doesn’t. Food truck vibe and flavor and quality. There’s nothing wrong with food trucks. i love some. They are delicious, too. Don’t let the homeless camps and screaming bums scare you away from this place.

First time eater, ordered Chili Cheeseburger with onions for $7.51
Order arrived super fast. Large fresh bun sucked up the tiny amounts of chili, I expected sloppy amounts so a bit disappointed. Plus 1⭐️ for outdoor bench seating.

I grew up just half a block away from this restaurant. Today I had the opportunity to stop by and share this experience with my wife. With how positively I had spoken about this restaurant she surely thought I was exaggerating, but with just her first bite she was clearly in full agreement with my sentiments. As I approached the window I was taken over by a nostalgic smell that reminded me of my childhood. The food was prepared very quickly and was so delicious! The service was of the highest quality! I hope to visit again someday to once again enjoy the treasures of this wonderful establishment.

Connie’s Drive-In …It’s kinda out of the way when you’re going to Cal Expo, but the way I see it…it’s a necessity that can’t be overlooked! All the food options are great but my favorite is the chili dog, I always get 4 of them 5 minutes apart so each one is piping hot. Connie’s does justice to the simple hotdog, and for that matter…everything else they cook is a 5 star experience! ☆☆☆☆☆

The picture doesn’t do this food justice. Do they have the best burgers Ive had? No, but it is really good for just over $10. The burgers have great flavor, the chili is good too, the fries are crispy and the shakes are fresh. Everything is prepared very quick and is always hot. Definitely a great place to stop by at if you’re craving some burgers & fries, hot dogs or shakes. 4.8/5.

I ordered chicken strips and a large root beer float today. The root beer float was 2 small sips of rootbeer and an entire cup of ice cream. The chicken was flaccid, limp, flavorless, and of the poorest quality (Comparable to jail food). The fries were pre-frozen crinkle cut fries, that we didn’t even get a handful of. Instead, the merchant attempted to make the tray look fuller by adding 2 pieces of bread at the bottom. Very creative

I’ve been here a few different times because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But after each visit, I was left more and more disappointed.

Their meat products (both chicken and the burger patties) are bottom of the barrel. Produce comes wilted and sloppy. They charge 50 cents per sauce, knowing good and well that their food is inedible without it. Their Chilli is water based, the cheese on their Chilli cheese fries is kraft cheese slices. The soda is watered down. And the service, don’t even get me started.. If I could give this place a -10 I would.
