I headed back to my homeland for the weekend to visit a customer, and took the opportunity to visit family. Unfortunately the Mrs. Wasn’t able to join me.
Connie is a nice family style restraunt in Chester WV. food was good and service was very good. Chester is a nice town. The side where Connies is located is clean and neat.
Also stop by and and see the world’s largest tea pot!

Good food doesn’t cancel out bad behavior. Rude, lazy service and borderline racist attitudes aren’t a cute look — especially for a so-called ‘mom & pop’ spot. Location is not an excuse. Accountability matters.

The parking is a little scarce. As we entered the restaurant the woman said sit down anywhere but we only saw 2 dirty tables. Then another woman pointed to a booth in the back. Our waitress took our order in a timely manner, but she wasn’t very attentive or friendly. It was breakfast time and I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was good but my hash browns were only room temperature. It did have a good amount of sausage in it but if it were up to me I’d put less meat and more egg and cheese as there wasn’t very much. It did come with a side of sour cream which was a plus. The coffee was nice and hot. I want to add a very nice older woman helped us with a box and was very kind and extremely pleasant. If she took our order I’m sure our experience would have been much nicer as our waitress just seemed miserable. As a went to ring out I waited approximately 5 minutes while no one came until another woman came to the register also wanting to pay. She knew her by name so I’m guessing they only want the locals here. And before I was even done signing my check she was ringing the other lady out on top of me. So unprofessional. To many unfriendly people at this establishment.

One of the best places to have breakfast around!! We rode for 45 minutes just to eat here and it was worth every bit of time. The people there are awesome, they are attentive and friendly. The portions are large, so bring your appetite.

Great little diner. Staff was friendly. They were very busy so it took a bit of a wait for our food, but it was worth it! Tasty breakfast menu and the special was ribs, which were also really well done. Love that they use fiesta ware!

Stopped in for the first time and got a breakfast meal back on 11/1/25. The food was made perfect and was absolutely delicious. What was a real bummer though was the service after our food was brought to the table. I am a stickler on tipping well when my drink is refilled. Needless to say our server never checked on us after we got our order not once. We heard the people behind us voice similar concerns. I rarely leave a zero tip but felt compelled to do so based on the service we got. Would still come back again for the great food.

Our goal is to hit 52 restaurants around the valley this year. Connies Corner was our first and it was so amazing. The food was delicious, the waitress Erica was very sweet. Thank you for everything. We will be back!

We love this place! Food is delicious, service is always friendly and atmosphere is upbeat. The proportions are large, I always take some home! I had the Ruben and it was wonderful! The pancakes are humongous! Prepare to leave happy!
