Connie’s is our go to for breakfast when in Tupelo. Outstanding chicken and biscuits. The blueberry donut alone is worth the visit. Great service with a clean dining room. The quality is consistent visit to visit.

Excellent food and service as always! Best chicken livers and chicken gravy biscuit! Always hot and fresh! I now live near Nashville but come home to visit family/friends and this is always on my list of food suggestions when visiting.

We should’ve left when they said we have a limited menu due to the ice storm. We gave them a try and lost…we never ate here before and we visit my dad in the Oxford veteran’s home… my sandwich was loaded with mayo which I hate. The doughnuts are greasy… they didn’t taste bad but super greasy. I appreciate that you got hit hard by the storm… but serving people subpar food that’s expensive is unacceptable. How did we know when we decided to come there your menu was limited??? I’ve been on the website… no signs… about 80% of this went in the trash. We should’ve went to Bim bam’s up the street. If all we could get was chicken strips and sandwiches I could’ve got that there and they would’ve at least not put an 1/8 inch of mayo on my sandwich.

Let me start this by saying I don’t give 5 star ratings easily. Everything has to hit its mark to get that rating. My husband and I got bone in fried chicken. He got spicy and I got original. We enjoyed it more than Gus’s if you know you know. Gus’s is amazing but it verges on almost too spicy for me. So Connies was perfection to me with the original recipe. My husband loves spicy food so he did say that Connies spicy chicken isn’t as spicy as Gus’s. The fried chicken here at Connies was juicy, flavorful, and the skin was fried to perfection. For sides we got mac n cheese, mashed potatoes w gravy, green beans. The meal came with rolls that looked homemade and were every bit of perfection. I was almost disappointed with the mashed potatoes bc it was served with white gravy but it highly exceeded my expectations. We got a dozen of the blueberry donuts bc I had tried them at work when a vendor brought us donuts. Donuts are available until they sell out so keep that in mind. I will say the donuts are probably best first thing in the morning when they’re warm throw in some milk and be ready to pass out. Comforting southern food at its finest.

I don’t know how to tell y’all this, cause you never met my granny and you don’t know how good her biscuits were… But Connie’s chicken and biscuits are hands down the best breakfast I’ve had since the Lord rested her soul! Put an egg with cheese and that gravy on it and pair it with one of those blueberry doughnuts… Mmmm mmm!!!
Get over there and get a couple for yourself!

I was passing through Tupelo looking for a southern diner style breakfast. Connies was not quite that but I am a sucker for fried chicken and biscuits. You can tell a place is doing it right when their menu is limited and yet is still packed. Fried chicken was crispy, biscuits were soft and buttery, and the gravy was thick. They also serve homemade blueberry donuts that I regret not trying. Grateful I stopped by and would absolutely return.

The fried chicken, livers, onion rings, and doughnuts were EXCELLENT. The restaurant was very clean and presentable. I only deduct one star because the younger staff were a bit preoccupied chatting with each other rather than attending to the food. Service was very slow, the drive up line was backed up, and there were only 2 guests inside. Management should review procedures on tracking individual orders, particularly with the younger staff that was present on Tuesday afternoon 11/18.

This is the best place in town hands down for breakfast! They have great prices and omg the deliciousness of those chicken and biscuits with gravy or the biscuit and gravy with eggs is what i usually get. I love that they dont put sausage in there gravy because I cannot eat pork it makes me sick and I dont know of any place in town that has a drive thru that doesnt put sausage in there gravy so this place is the one place I can the gravy at and there biscuits are on point! I wish I knew the ladies name but she has worked there for years and she has short grey hair. She is so nice and always gets the drive thru moving quickly and always has a smile on her face all the time. I love all the other employees too but I just remember her more bc of the time she has been there and her great hospitality!
