As someone who simply wanted to enjoy a day at the beach with family, I was shocked by the blatant disrespect shown by the staff at this establishment. What should have been a quick stop for a treat turned into a distressing encounter filled with verbal hostility toward multiple families.
We witnessed the staff’s behavior was not only rude but alarmingly personal, with verbal attacks that felt targeted and discriminatory. One young teenage boy made a comment that he felt attacked for his nationality. It’s alleged that judgments are made based on appearance and personal characteristics of patrons here, and from what I personally witnessed, that claim holds weight.
The manager, rather than de-escalating situations, seemed to fuel them—using a radio to call multiple security officers while continuing to insult paying customers and advising a patron that he would not get their food nor a refund.
The lack of a working phone line and the dismissive voicemail on the pier’s answering machine only reinforce the sense that this business is not interested in accountability or customer care. With a Google rating hovering around 3.1, it’s clear that my experience wasn’t an isolated one.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any public-facing business, especially one serving families and tourists. I sincerely hope this establishment is reviewed by the appropriate personnel or ownership and held to a higher standard of professionalism and respect.
Until then, I would strongly advise others to think twice before supporting this business. Google rated me as a “Local Guide” for a reason. I rarely write nor enjoy posting negative reviews, however, this establishment deserves much morse in my opinion.
