This venue just opened to kick off the holiday season (2025). It’s located right off the Belvedere exit off 95 south. There is a grass/gravel parking lot as well as some street parking. There’s a large portion that’s covered from the elements and warmed with space heaters. There’s a fair amount of seating in this area, as well as a bar and TVs. There’s also additional seating outside (covered) and another bar near what is currently a synthetic ice rink (we’re told this isn’t permanent). There’s also the smash burger restaurant which has restrooms and additional climate controlled seating. Our biggest compliment was the service in the burger restaurant. We were there right at lunch on the Saturday after Christmas and the place was busy. There was one cashier taking orders (waited 30mins in line to order) and then the burgers took another 30 mins. Waiting for the food to come out is understandable, but having to separate from our party for a half hour to order dampered the overall experience.
The burgers and fries were very good once we got them, would go back again for food. I thought the holiday margarita tasty, but found the mule and espresso martini lacking in flavor.
Overall the vibe was neat, and I can see this being a fun hangout spot as the decor / atmosphere changes with the seasons.

The vibes! Trevor is a great bartender. Lots of seating and a great atmosphere. Here for the Apres Ski theme on a Wednesday night. Looking forward to coming back to hear the live music outside when it warms up. Kudos to Conex for bringing fun and creativity to RVA. I think we are the best place to live in the country and I appreciate special places like Conex that are very richmond

Giving it five stars but definitely some room for improvement which should be expected for a new business.
The atmosphere is great, family friendly but didn’t feel like a kids playground. Plenty of seating space and areas to hangout. The ice skating rink is artificial which they made clear before buying tickets. I didn’t know the difference but now I do.
For a beer garden, they did not have enough bar staff, especially when they are not pre batching their speciality holiday drinks. The guy who helped me was very apologetic and moving with urgency but they were running out of everything which made his job even harder.
Tips for owner:
Need way more heaters, like way more. Also let’s get better music, I know MC is queen of Christmas but there are so many more artists making Christmas music!
All in all, it’s a cool space I’d visit again once more heaters arrive. Very excited to visit during the summer and see what they do with all the open space.

Ignore EVERY bad review. There is something clinacly wrong with those people. This place is AMAZING. Stunningly gorgeous; best theme drinks in RVA. The atmosphere is very high frequency; kids skating on the ice rink. Smash burger is yum and sweet potatoe fried phenomenal. Bartenders friendly. Literally a feast for the eyes – the entire place. My new favorite spot. Oh and the jazz was lovely. Was dancing whole time. Super unique experience.

If you’re looking for something fun and different in Richmond, CONEX is a must. The smash burgers are amazing, and as someone who doesn’t drink beer I’m so glad they have wine options. The artificial ice skating rink makes it such a cool experience, and the igloos are perfect for staying warm while still enjoying the outdoor vibe or hosting events. Great atmosphere, great food, and such a creative concept—highly recommend! The owner is super involved and accommodating. Every time I come it’s more and more packed.

Cute spot. My friends and I came in before the NYE party to grab a quick drink. We had a few of the frostbite spritz which were pretty delicious! Service was good, bartenders were very friendly. I will say the drinks are definitely over-priced if you’re ordering from their cocktail menu. I finished with their maple old fashioned and I definitely don’t recommend. For $14 you’d think it would come with a large ice cube, maybe a garnish? Nope. It was the most unappealing drink and I personally was not a fan. I forced myself to down it because of the price point. Interested to see how Conex fares in the upcoming seasons.

Have hopes for this place! It’s got potential. We walked over from our house to check it out. We like the layout and the murals. (It’s open but still putting finishing touches.) We enjoyed having a drink while watching the skating. It would be fun to hang out in the little igloos. As far as atmo and quality of drinks (super-sweet cocktails) and music, etc, right now it’s a little piece of Chesterfield in the middle of Richmond. (Careful: There were strands of rusty barbed wire laying across the sidewalk as we walked towards the entrance – a hazard (and liability)). Will go back again soon to see how it comes together!

Great kindstaff. Burgers were yummy and cooked well!! Cocktails were good but we ended up just putting shots of vodka in our hot chocolate because we wanted something warm. I will be back and bringing everyone I know!! I live in the neighbor and k can’t wait to see what yall do 🙂 p.s. let me do some art for you

I love this place. It opened I think during the holidays and management did a fantastic job of making this a great entertainment spot. There was something for everyone, ice skating, big screens for the games a full bar, a great smash burger restaurant a DJ in the evening and to top it off this weekend I discovered it had a chocolate fountain with free fixings. A girl couldn’t ask for more. Shout-out to Brandon, Steve snd the waitstaff for being so cool snd hospitable. It kind of reminds me of Cheers. I wish I had more pics but I was too busy having a good time.
