This reimagination of Petite Leon nailed it. The menus is eclectic and has some surprises as well as elevated takes on classics you’d expect to only find in the suburbs. The Verde is a top notch cocktail. The umami popcorn is addictive. The smoked beets were a scene stealer. The shishito dip was good though pretty familiar as an alternative to artichoke dip. The popcorn chicken was much better than should be expected. The only major miss was with the oysters: they dumped the liquor (liquid) off of them, which is a massive sin. Their mignonette and housemade hot sauce were great with the oysters, but dumping that briny liquor off is unforgivable. The spaetzle was great, but I might suggest bringing the portion and price down and making it more of a side than a “big.” The basque cheesecake was excellent, though a little on the firm side if we’re being super nitpicky. The serve was casual and efficient while also being personable and knowledgeable. I generally don’t like no reservation policies, but we got lucky walking right in at 5 pm on Valentine’s Day. Definitely will be back.

While the restaurant may have the same owners as PL, the quality has dropped quite a bit.
The service was incredibly slow, even when there were barely any other guests. They weren’t very attentive either, we put dirty dishes at the of our table that were not taken away, even when the next course was delivered.
The food was such a disappointment, especially since the restaurant said they would keep some of their favorite dishes, like the peppers and the basque cheesecake. But they were not the same. The peppers were smaller and had some odd crunchy stuff on top. The sauce they were in was like a watery tomato soup, not the gorgeous deep red oil sauce. I asked for bread to use to sop up that sauce like we always used to. We got a piece of toast, not the lovely grilled bread we got before, but the sauce wasn’t worth it anyway.
The Cesar salad was just weird, check out the photo. The popcorn chicken was over breaded, rubbery, and burnt.
And I want to cry over loss of the basque cheesecake. It used to be just incredible, now it’s just cheesecake.

I’ve been a huge fan of this spot since it was Petit León, but the rebranding to Company Bar is a fantastic move. They’ve managed to make the space and vibe much more accessible without sacrificing the incredible quality I’ve come to expect. We ate here the other night and everything—the food, the service, and the new branding—was spot on. It feels like the perfect neighborhood hang now. Highly recommend!

Very busy on a Thursday evening which is nice to see for a newer restaurant.

We were asked to move tables with a promise to comp our first round of drinks.

It seemed like it was the manager who took our order, but it was unclear if she was actually our server.

Food was tasty and came out quickly but the overall service was slow.

Bill came and drink was not comped.

Our server (C, and I apologize that I do not remember how to spell your name) was truly one of the best we have had in a long time. Thank you for making my partner’s birthday such an amazing experience.

As for the restaurant itself, the atmosphere felt dull compared to what I was expecting. We are frequent visitors of Little Tijuana’s (same owners and concept), so we came in with high expectations for a fun new take and were a bit let down by the lack of art and overall energy compared to the other space. This does feel a bit more “millennial grey” focused, but that should not stop it from leaning into more creativity and fun. The Neon lights are so fun, lets make sure that energy goes into the whole space.

I would love to see Company Bar lean harder into its name and concept with more outlandish designs, more personality, and something that delivers that wow factor like Little T’s does so well. A fully rounded concept is essential for this market, and I look forward to seeing what this space becomes.

The food was great, but the portions felt underwhelming for the price. Little T’s has recently gotten portioning right, so I expected that to carry over more strongly here. For example, the peppers are not really worth $4 each. Something like 4 for $10 would feel more reasonable. Also, adding fries for $3.50 feels steep. A cheaper add on or even a chip option included would be a nice touch.

The Smalls being close in price to the Bigs also felt a little disconnected. I really wanted to order more, but the pricing was confusing and ultimately kept us from exploring more of the menu. I look forward to some adjustments in sizing and pricing that make it easier for everyone to enjoy a good bite.

The drinks were excellent. We had the Smoke and Mirrors and a Hamm’s. Cocktails and pricing are great, but I would love to see even more themed cocktails as the menu expands (play with company parties, etc). The Hamm’s only being available as a short was honestly disappointing… Tall boys should be standard for Hamm’s, PBR, Nordeast, etc. With only two taps, it also felt a little limited. I know cocktails are the focus, but do not forget the full spectrum of options.

Overall, we will definitely be back to see how things evolve. It is a great start, but the concept felt like it could be more finesse compared to the other concepts. Strong themes, fun explosive art, and lounge vibes for Kingfield (We all need that right now).

Thank you again for the amazing service, C. It truly made the night.
