We picked up a couple of things for a picnic, including a vegan grilled cheese (see “vegan” clearly marked on the receipt). We drove to the picnic spot, open the sandwich carton, and lo and behold, they made us a chicken sandwich. There were no other customers in Common Roots when we ordered these, so they likely were not overly busy back in the kitchen. So we drove the 20 minutes back, showed them our sandwich and receipt, and both the woman behind the counter and the manager acted like this was a matter of missing tomato. No apology. Just a highly annoyed, “We can make you another one.” No thanks. I wouldn’t trust another thing I bought from here.

Great spot with so much to offer! Service with a smile, clean and bright atmosphere and great view in the outdoor seating, wonderful options, delicious and fresh food. They have a sort of gift shop area and grocery area as well.

I was blown away by delicious vegan muffins at Common Roots. Especially, their fluffy, moist blueberry muffins are simply outstanding. I love, also, the guinness of the double chocolate muffins. .That helps appreciate the richness of chocolate even more. The staff mentioned that the baked good are made in house! She taught me that the bake goods are vegan (I didn’t even notice that).

This place is peaceful and spacious, and that made this place even more special (obviously, I am not a fan of so-called coffee shops for “productivity”). Finally, I would like to thank the staff for the kind explanations and excellent drinks!

Came here for first time a few weeks ago. Ordered a few smoothies, which were fine. The man at the counter was very off putting and rude when I asked about smoothie options. He gave me a snarky response and walked away mid conversation. I won’t be going back.

Friendly service and we were glad we stopped in to enjoy the vegan Tuscan white bean and kale soup. Delicious! A lot of vegan options, coffee drinks and a nice market with local products, craft beer and dinners to go. We will be back!

This is my new go-to coffee shop (they have far more than just coffee) for my beach trips. I’m pretty picky about my vanilla lattes and they make it perfectly. Everyone’s always been friendly, and they have anything you might need last minute for a beach trip. Definitely worth a stop!

Cute and charming combination of coffee shop, souvenirs, market, licquor, and more. Their wraps and burgers are very tasty and fulfilling! They have a variety of health prepared food too!! The staff is friendly and the cook is a chef! I’ve stopped here for lunch many times – my favorite dish is the Scramblin Burrito!

My husband and I are both vegan, and were happy to discover that most menu items here can be made vegan! The staff told us that they have a vegan egg they make in-house and even told us what it was made of (slipping my mind now). They also have vegan cheese and vegan sausage. We both ordered the Cali Dip burritos which were delicious. We also took home a vegan tiramisu from their to-go case of desserts. In the little store they have attached to the cafe, there were a variety of vegan snacks if you need to grab something for your beach day. We would love to see a vegan replacement for the chicken items on the menu some day! Great job offering a variety of vegan replacements for your menu, we will be back!

I have food allergies and need to eat fresh clean ingredients. I feel so lucky to have a local cafe that offers Just about anything I’d want. The cook is a thoughtful soul and helped me out for Thanksgiving for just my son and I. The cashier was equally nice and totally accommodating. It’s a chill atmosphere not a place to run in and out of, we like it that way! It’s a local community that care about each other. Thanks for everything you do to keep us healthy. God bless
