Very nice cafe with a large and comfortable hall. I really like that the tables and chairs in this cafe are not all the same. This gives the place a unique homeliness.There are also tables for children in the hall with small wooden, very cute chairs. Sofas and armchairs for adults are very comfortable.

I’ve always adored this location, and they have recently rebranded. The updates are really nice and everything feels more cozy. Coffee has always been delicious, and so are the snacks too. But now that it’s called commando, all I think about is other people not wearing underwear.

about the average local cafe, good quality and about the prices you would expect. the furniture was an interesting choice but not in a bad way, I can see the appeal of the couches. the decor was like that of a middle-aged white woman’s house (think Hobby Lobby), but the front wall being garage doors rather than a plain wall make a nice atmosphere. I can’t say I particularly enjoyed the music playing but it was clearly one of the workers’ playlists so I think they should be allowed to play whatever they want, even if it is an Ed Sheeran song.
I got a smoothie and I will say it was one of the better smoothies that I’ve had from a coffee establishment. rather than being watery, it was a nice thick texture; I would get it again. I went with another person who got one of the sandwiches, which looked good. I also ended up getting a muffin, which also had a good texture. almost everything on the menu is $4–7, other than the cookies/muffins which are $1–3 from what I remember. you’ll probably spend $10–15 if you want food along with your drink, but I’d say it’s worth it.

The Foodie
I love this shop; I usually come here to work on my computer while enjoying my coffee and sandwich. However, I often travel to different locations to provide my best reviews on food and service. Each time I’ve visited this location, I’ve noticed one person really hustling to ensure all customers are taken care of and leave happy. I believe she’s the manager; she has tan skin and dark hair. Each time I come in, she is the only one actively working, being very attentive and efficiently preparing drinks and food, while I see others distracted by their phones. I feel for the other customers who have to wait longer for their drinks or food because not everyone seems motivated to work. Overall, the food is good, though it could use more vegetables, and sometimes the coffee tastes more like milk than coffee.

How do they expect to run a successful shop in Downtown Amherst with just one person doing everything? I’ve seen the employee working there take the order, make the drink, and prepare the food—all while the owner just stands by offering no help. And this is supposed to be his business? If it were mine, I’d be pitching in, helping wherever I could until the rush slowed down. But nope, not him.
I walked out and its not the employees fault but I have things I need to do I can’t wait like he expects us to.

This place had a change to their restaurant name. I guess menu changes came with it. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and unlike when they served it on a bagel, they did this with sour dough or rye and it tasted horrible. The whole sandwich tasted like nothing but salt. Outside of the bad breakfast choice I chose, they had excellent service and were very nice people
