We ate out in the sunny part of the riverfront pavilion. It was enjoyable and very authenticly rustic and unique to an “Old Florida” setting. Interesting to see the producing oyster beds right there. Made for a lovely, very casual lunch with friends on a pretty March day. My lunch w 2 drafts, conch fritter app & a shrimp po boy was apprx. $50 (+ tip).

I was impressed by the number of people that were in the restaurant, there was a wait time to get a table but we decided to sit at the bar.

Although the service was friendly & courteous, it did lack attention. Maybe it was because they were very busy. We ordered (1) Basket of Shrimp & Oysters & (1) Low Country Boil. And for dessert we had the Coconut Creme Tart.

I’m not saying that the food was bad or something like it… but it was just NOT that great or amazing enough for the price we paid. Specially when it comes to the “Low Country Boil” @ $28.99

It had (6) red potatoes (4) sausages (4) pieces of corn in the cob (6) baby clams (4) semi-large shrimp. For that poor amount of “seafood” the price was outrageous. So I was very disappointed.

The basket of (5) fried shrimp & (5) oysters was ok, although the fried oysters had a funny taste. Still, @ $21.99 I can honestly say I’ve had much better in other places.

Regarding the coconut cream tart, well that was actually very good! It was a very small portion, but still good.

At the end of the day, I believe that overall, this place is overpriced!

Always one of our favorite places to eat. The Blue crab chowder was delicious with side salad with blue cheese dressing. The fish dip with crackers was also refreshing. Loved the portobello stuffed with crab for a small plate. The kids ordered the coconut and strawberry tart for dessert. Highly recommend.

The seafood here is amazing! Crab legs were cooked perfectly. Staff were helpful and kind. The view is pretty too and you can walk down to the marsh from the deck to look around. My kids loved the little captains wheel on the deck where they could pretend they were steering a ship.

Blue crab corn chowder, linguine with clams, the fresh catch Mahi and all the sides were delicious. Fair price and pleasant service in relaxed atmosphere.

I’m at a family reunion and a group of 20 of us came here for dinner last night. You expect to wait for seating at popular places and it took about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. They are clearly not equipped for large groups. They didn’t start bringing food out for over an hour, and when they did they brought out one or two dishes at a time over 45 minutes. They wrote down our names when they took our orders but confused things when they brought out the food. Several orders were wrong including mine, and the service nearly non-existent. The wait staff knew it was bad because they kept apologizing. Oh, and I was pretty disappointed with the fried alligator bites appetizer at $15. There were about 15 little bites, so about $1 each. They had good flavor but were very small, and not hot.
So altogether, we were there over two hours, our orders came out wrong and the food wasn’t commiserate with the pricing nor their reputation. I hope your experience is better than ours was!

The food is expensive and the portions were small despite being expensive. The fish was a small piece, and the shrimp are tiny. It was also not very good. I love clam chowder and it was watered down and not very flavorful. Also the service was horrible. I will detail our experience below.

You order the drinks when you walk up, they said it would be a minute when we got there and we said that was ok. We ordered soups and salads as well as our meals. They gave us drinks and we sat down. We waited for almost an hour and didn’t get anything. Then they brought some of our meals one by one over the next 30 minutes, and we only got half our food and no appetizers. They came and asked if we were missing anything, and we told them, and they walked away without saying anything. We waited like 20 more minutes and they brought our appetizers in to go boxes and said they were sorry and they brought it to the wrong table before. By this point, everyone who had gotten their food had finished eating, and we were missing two entrees. We told them we were still missing those and they said they would have them in 10 minutes and were sorry. They finally brought it, and we asked if it was possible to get the last entree taken off our bill since it was delivered so late, and they were very nonchalant about it and annoyed and we had to apologize instead of them. I would definitely not recommend eating here unfortunately, but I wish them the best moving forward and hopefully they will learn from this feedback to be more organized.

If you go to the Commander’s Post Shellfish Camp, go on back to the Commander’s Outpost and sit by the water. You order from the same menu as the main restaurant and the food comes from the food truck. You have to order at the outpost and they bring you the food when it’s ready. The service was excellent and they were constantly asking if we needed anything. The food was very good. Overall, this place has good food, great service and a spectacular view.
