We stopped in on the way home to Olney. Cute establishment. Small area for seating . Decor was nice. Coffee was good except my wife (who loves coffee, said hers was like “they” forgot to put flavoring in it). After tasting hers, she was right, it tasted like steamed cream but nothing else. Otherwise, mine was delicious.

We discovered this quaint little coffee house during a recent family trip to Albion, Illinois researching our ancestry. When we arrived, the young lady barista and pastry chef extraordinaire was in the back baking pastries.
She served up the best Caffe Macchiato including the signature swirls. What an artist. Some locals showed up and we had the best conversation about Albion.
Our ancestors all grew up in nearby Ellery in the 1800’s so it was exciting to have coffee in the downtown area they likely traveled to albeit with horse and wagon.
The coffee shop is housed in a beautifully restored home across from the town square.
If your nearby, it’s worth the drive.

We visit here at least once a week. They have a wide variety of drinks and a good selection of bakery items. We love the scones. They also offer several flavors of gourmet icecream. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s a nice place to meet friends and hang out.
