Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We were seated right away. Chris did a wonderful job serving us. I heard deviled crab was a Tampa staple so had to try those. They were packed with crab meat and flavor. The Cuban sandwich had an excellent ratio of bread to fillings. I requested no chips since I ordered the appetizer. The pitcher of mojitos made table side were refreshing. The location makes it easy to people watch. Highly recommend.

Heidi was an incredible server. It was our first time there and she gave us the history of the restaurant and hearing the story made set the tone for the entire experience. The food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back!

We ate here before a Tampa Bay Lightning game so it was a full capacity. Everything was good but not great. The food was good but a bit bland. The service was polite but slow due to how busy it was. Maybe on a non game day the experience would rate 5 stars.

Fish restaurant has great food we tried the Cuban sandwich and the 2005 salad. Can you get to look at the beautiful River as you’re sitting and eating. I also tried a in-house pilsner that they make and it was fantastic as well. Highly recommend this it’s probably not super kid-friendly but it’s a great restaurant and you get some great authentic Cuban food

Can’t say enough about the Columbian Cafe at the Tampa Bay History Center. Based on the original Columbian Resturant in Ybor City, this location has both inside and outside (with heaters in winter time). Bars in both areas happy to serve you while waiting for your table. Highly suggest getting the red or white Sangria and the 1905 Salad which is made table side. The Cuban is a must have while the Chicken Dishes are plenty full. Stop by the gift store.

Great restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is impressive, and the atmosphere/environment is very comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend the 1905 salad- it was delicious and I understand the hype. We dined in for dinner but also packed some food to go for family members who didn’t come with us. We were concerned about the food because one of our family members has a nut allergy. The manager herself came out to speak with us to assure us that the food was nut free and that we should not be worried. We greatly appreciated that reassurance!

The food at the Colombian restaurant is so good! I highly recommend their classic salad in Cuban. The atmosphere in the Tampa Bay location is really nice as well, looking at the water. Their black bean soup is out of sight as well. You can’t go wrong with this place.!!!!!

Just off the Riverwalk in Tampa, by the History Center, you’ll find this outdoor venue. The food was unique and generally good, with a few overcooked bits. We had a Paella Casa Benigna, the Eggplant Riojana, and a special sampler, all delicious. The dessert churros came with tasty sauces. But no cafe cubana?!

We recently came here for dinner, here is was I thought.

Atmosphere: This is a secondary location of the original Columbia Restaurant in Ybor located inside the Tampa History Center. It’s located right along the river walk. It is outside but completely covered and has air conditioning fans for when it gets to warm. You can also bring your fur friends! The space is decorated to represent the original restaurant.

Bathroom: The bathroom was pretty clean. It had two stalls, a sink, and a changing station.

Service: Our server Diego was very professional and nice. Our food came out quickly.

Food: I’ve eaten at the Columbia before and the food was good for the price. We tried their stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer which was good and split their paella. The paella was enough to share between two people, it also comes with Cuban toast and butter. This is a good place to come if you’re looking for a simple lunch or dinner with Spanish food.
