I came in on a Saturday night thinking it will be busy, but I was the only one in there. The server came up to me with an airpod in his ear and you know what I don’t mind. But I asked for a chicken tikka masala, a naan, and pani puri, but then around ~20 minutes later my food arrived kind of cold ish and they brought out a green curry other than pani puri. The server said sorry, after like 5 minutes and took it away while still wearing an airpod… It is unprofessional and I really don’t mind as long as they don’t get my order wrong and take a while to bring food. My water never got refilled too, and the workers were no where to be seen when i needed water.
Now onto the food, it was really mediocre indian food, the chicken tikka sauce was alright, but the chicken was so tough, not marinated, and kind of disgusting. The pani puri was never brought out and i couldn’t even try it… and the naan was so small and kind of burnt. This was a really bad first time and it was really expensive too. They did not offer me any apologies and so and so.
You cannot get better Indian food in southwestern Nassau county. Anywhere. At any price. Period. End of discussion.
It’s stratospherically delicious – on par with the best Indian cuisine I’ve eaten in Manhattan, Miami, York, England, and oddly, Albany, NY (1 Wolf Rd. If you ever visit).
I’ve never had a bad meal or poor experience. The “worst” meal you’ll ever have there is leagues above whatever else you’ll try locally.
That incudes the beloved Akbar in Garden City. Which is good, don’t get me wrong.
But it’s not even close…
It’s so rare to find suburban food this incredible. So it deserves a full-throated endorsement.
Eat up and enjoy! 🙂
Your taste buds will go nuts in support, I guarantee it.
Keep up the ridiculously amazing work!
Best,
Dan
I’ve had a lot of Indian food and home cooked versions as well and this is very close. Accommodating on spice level, flavor is nice. I get that people are entitled to their own opinion but putting this place down is not cool. Planning on ordering again soon. Definitely check it out if you like Indian food.
And it’s 10 degrees outside and they didn’t even have heat on. On complaint they said that’s how we work. They were soo rude. Food is not even good. Will never visit again. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
Food was delicious. For those new to Indian food, I highly recommend the vegetable platter for appetizers to get the variety! Always also recommend getting the naan with the entree (this time got the garlic naan), as well as, for the entrees, chicken tikka masala (always a safe choice) and paneer saag.
You will get full fast and probably leave with some leftovers!
