Decided on the colony for Valentine’s Day. This was our first time here and I wish we had gone sooner. The staff was so friendly and helpful, great atmosphere throughout the restaurant and the food was amazing. We started with the lollipop lamb chops, and I had the Alfredo with Cajun fillet tips and my boyfriend got the veal Parmesan. The pasta is homemade and it was just right. Not easy, cooking homemade pasta with different size noodles. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a luncheon on short notice for 125 people at The Colony in mid-January. Everyone there was excellent to work with. We dealt mainly with Kevin (or maybe Keith?) and they pulled everything together perfectly! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding!

Food was great , server was great. Only small issue was we had a meeting/dinner with decent size party and the chairs were so close you had no room to move and was very very warm in there (though we were near the fireplace). Other then that no concerns.

Pros- Easy parking, outdoor seating option in warm weather, indoor cozy fireplace, classy inside, but not stuffy. Great menu selection with decent portion sizes. Nice selection of specials offered nightly. Warm bread served with dinners. Roasted vegetables served with my entrée were decadently delicious (a mix of grilled squash & peppers). Casey, our server was very helpful always with a smile.
.
Cons- Low ceiling painted black makes for a claustrophobic feeling. Salad dressing and butter in plastic cups (low class). Interesting because side dinner sauce came out in nice metal ramekin. Dinner salad comes with cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, iceberg, and other lettuce leaves, but also pre-packaged croutons. Apparently, I got the end of the bag because my salad was covered in crumbs. Salmon was overcooked, but edible, no complaints, however, I specifically asked what roasted vegetables came with the salmon and was told, but only a garnish of kale & carrot curls were on the plate. Once alerted, our pleasant server, Casey, quickly brought out the side of veggies. Desserts were offered, but unfortunately tasted as if made off-site and stored in a freezer for a while and were slightly stale. That’s a bad way to end a meal.
Live music is a nice touch, but unfortunately, it was too loud for conversation at the table.

I would definitely return because the food is very good. But I just wanted to give a fair and balanced review.

My first time here, (there are two entrances)*faces the building the side (right) is the entrance to their dining room (left) is entrance to the bar. First off they are very welcoming and start to serve you water. We ordered soft pretzels, and baked potato skins no tomato and they served sour cream on the side it cute little solo cup containers. My boyfriend got the chicken tenders, I got the chicken parm, it was really juicy a breaded. They put grapes on the plate as well. Our waitress was so nice I would definitely go back again especially just to sit in her section.

Kudos for being open on a very soggy holiday. Their servers are quite kind. It’s in a plaza so parking looked tight. I mention this because they have a mini stage out front for music. We sat outside because indoors was freezing due to the AC being set too high. This is probably a good place to watch a game as they have many TV’s. The food was okay. My mom prefers battered fish, so she wasn’t thrilled with her breaded fish sandwich (I love breaded fish!). I was really impressed with how big my cowboy burger was. I would come back, but mom would pass.

What an Erie staple, I enjoyed revisiting the Colony after visiting 51 years ago when I was a teenager. The food was good even though it was just an appetizer and cocktail.

Had a couple with us who indicated several places in Erie who had perch that it didn’t really taste like perch. We assured them colony had great perch and they got the sandwich. They loved it. I got the perch dinner. I never said anything but the owner came over and was not happy it was overdone. So he sent it back to the kitchen to have it done correctly. The attention to making it a good experience was greatly appreciated. It’s hard to find this type of good service. Highly recommend.

Our family had dinner there and we all were able to find something to eat, even though 4 of us have dietary restrictions. While the food was good, the service was great.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We were looking for a place to get a nice steak dinner for our anniversary when we stumbled upon this place. Upon entering the tables were lit by candle light which made for a nice cozy atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating and the food was the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in the mood for a well prepared steak this place won’t disappoint!
