I order from here daily and tip daily. I placed an order 2 hours ago for pickup for a large pizza after I was told delivery would be over an hour amd half. We were told 15 mins for our order its been over 2 hours!! They are rude about it! Mind you im a very valued customer. Im extremely upset, I was basically told it wasn’t their fault they are busy. I’m highly upset. Customer service shouldn’t be like this especially when you avidly support their business

Neighborhood spot on my block. They’ve got crispy crinkle fries! And the Italian Burger was excellent. I especially liked that they toasted the bun on the flattop. My food took all of 10 minutes on a Thursday evening at 8pm. The staff is always friendly 🙂 buena gente.

During my last visit to this restaurant there were 3 unruly unaccompanied tweens sitting at the table next to me. One of the kids kicked the bottom of my shoe with the tip of his shoe 2-3 times disturbing my restaurant experience.
Continued, I have been a long time customer for about 20 years. This restaurant does not have servers, but post the Covid-19 pandemic within the past 1-2 years the restaurant started shoving that tipping screen on the credit/debit card machine in customer’s faces when customers are paying for their order before customers have received their order or service expecting customers who dine in to tip at a restaurant that does not have servers. I would suggest that the restaurant mark up all menu item prices by 15-20% or whatever the current rate is.
On top of that the customer service has gone down hill. For years during most visits it used to be the same man behind the counter who took in-person and telephone orders and rang up customers at the register for their purchases. He was always Professional!!! Recently several new persons who work behind the counter at the registers who take customers orders and ring them up have been rude, including 2 obnoxious males who were working behind both registers during my last visit.

Its difficult not to enjoy pizza, and this wasn’t that bad. But it reminded me of a mass produced frozen pizza hut crust and assuming this wasn’t a fluke, I can taste the cheap quality.
The fries were soft rather than crunchy which some people prefer but not me. Still they were totally edible and I finished them off.
Update: tried again nearly two years later, still sub-par.. I’d rather pay less at a pizza chain and get a pizza from people who have mastered using cheap ingredients.

It will satisfy your cravings in a pinch. However, there’s a perfumed aftertaste in the pizza that makes me think there’s chemicals in it. Wonder if there are dough conditioners or something… doesn’t taste like just water flour yeast grains tomato and cheese. Someone wrote this place is better than allegros and I highly disagree. Chicken tenders are not uniform meaning it’s handmade (good) but the texture leaves some to be wanted. it’s likely pre frozen but many places are like that.

I came here during porchfest this year, and their service was SO fast, AND they had public bathrooms open to the crowd! I wasn’t expecting much because of the insanely busy crowd, but our pizzas came out with a perfectly thin crispy crust just like you’d find in NYC. They were so good we went back for second slices! They were totally swamped but handled the crowd without any flaws. Michelin stars better watch out. Who needs fancy neopolitan pizza when you have a perfectly fine neighborhood joint?

Friendly staff. They don’t rush you through your order. I ordered pepperoni Stromboli and it was fresh and hot when delivered. Generous amount of cheese and pepperoni and onions and green peppers. The best pizza shop in University City!!!

Stopped here for their lunch deal: two slices of pizza and a can of soda for $7. Generous portions, really good pizza. It’s the best in the area I’ve had so far, thin crust and solid sauce.
