I previously had a good review for this location, but it has definitely gone downhill. This last visit was mixed. The store stunk and was quite dirty. It was also understaffed for what you’d expect to be a busy evening. The ice cream was fine (but still very overpriced).

I went to pick up an online order ( @ 8:15 on 6/22/23) and there was nobody in the store except the 3 female employees. You could tell none of them wanted to be working because I stood there at the counter for 10 MINUTES before an employee finally helped me. All 3 of them looked at me and then turned their back and cleaned off the same counter. Then one girl left to go use the bathroom and another said she was going into the back to check her texts. That left one girl to still be able to help me. Did she? Only after I sat there waiting at the counter for 10 minutes. she sat there making a ball of vanilla ice cream and then throwing the ball into a cup, and then weighed it. She did this 3 TIMES before she finally sighed really loud and asked what she could get for me. You can tell that they obviously didnt want to be working and was just hoping that id leave. After giving me my bag of ice cream I also noticed that there wasnt even a freaking spoon. Worst customer service ive ever experienced with Cold Stone!

My sister and I went to Cold Stone in Spanish Fork tonight and had an unpleasant experience, to say the least. We waited a long time to be helped because the people behind the counter were cleaning and not helping customers. There were 5 people in line behind us too who were waiting. The employees were very unfriendly, and the cashier was very inpatient, even though it was the card reader that wasn’t working. She acted like I was a nuisance. Also, not that it’s that big of a deal, but I got a very small amount of ice cream, and my sister got the same size and got a lot of ice cream (served by another employee). Obviously, the consistency at this location is lacking. Overall, the store is not well kept, very dirty, and has unfriendly employees. Honestly, the conditions should be reported. Lastly, when did a “like it” only get 1 Oreo?

The ice cream is very good. They have a fairly wide variety of flavors of ice cream and a huge variety of toppings. It is fun to watch them mix the toppings into the ice cream on the Cold Stones. The attendant must have been having a bad day because she was not friendly or engaging at all.

Upper management is detached, unprofessional and neglectful- they care only for money and reputation (even if they claim otherwise- actions speak louder than words). Managers are treated as dispensable when they pull most all the weight; there’s a revolving door of managers because they aren’t properly trained, supported or listened to and expected to be a manager, assistant manager, hiring manager, trainer, cake maker/decorator, day shift, everything admin and everything maintenance & cleaning (there’s a black mold issue over there and much of the equipment, like the stone, are old, in bad shape, and certainly questionable regarding food safety). Overall the employees are local teens who are not hard working, only care about their phone & pretend drama, and the customers are extremely entitled and impatient with stinky attitudes – chasing away managers on top of everything else that’s put on them leaving no consistency in the business. Prices are expensive and there’s lots of competition around so check out other local ice cream and sweets shops. This location probably won’t be worth it for most. Especially if you have IBS, tummy sensitivities, or if you have a compromised immune system because honestly diarrhea might be on the menu as well.
