We get the Love It size, which ends up being a little over $8 per person.
Stopped by Cold Stone Creamery to grab a birthday cake for my daughter, and I chose a heart-shaped cake with chocolate ganache because nothing says “I love you” like chocolate therapy.
First of all… this cake was dangerously good. Super tasty, rich, and absolutely worth every penny. The kind of cake that makes you question whether you should be sharing it with children at all.
Now let’s talk about the real MVP: the young lady behind the counter. She was handling a long line completely by herself and somehow managed to be fast, efficient, polite, and genuinely kind the entire time. No stress, no attitude, no panic. Just calm, capable, and professional. Honestly, I’ve seen adults with management titles melt down under less pressure.
She took care of everyone like a pro, made sure my order was right, and still kept a great attitude. If Cold Stone handed out capes, she earned one that day.
Between the amazing cake, the smooth service, and my daughter’s huge smile, this trip was a total win. If you need a birthday cake that tastes incredible and service that restores your faith in customer service… this is the spot.
Five stars. Would absolutely buy again. Might “accidentally” buy one just for myself next time.
My wife and I went one Monday night for some late night (around 9PM) ice cream.
I had a young lady taking my order when I asked her to give me vanilla ice cream with kit kat. She then proceeded to put pecans in the ice cream. I corrected her on it and apologized if I was not super clear the first time. She did not seem happy at all and actually seemed quite grumpy about it. I apologized again as I was about to pay, since she did not seem to lighten up, and once again she was a bit rude.
On the other hand, my wife had a young man doing her ice cream and he was much friendlier. The only thing was that my wife had ordered the take home size, the “everyone” icecream. She ordered a few toppings on it including cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup. Well, the young man serving her did not mix enough ice cream the first time, which he noticed. So he put in the original amount he mixed and then slopped on top an unmixed set of just ice cream. Not a huge deal, we were grateful he did not leave it half empty, but definitely lazy.
The ice cream tasted great though, just not the best service.
Note an image of my wife’s ice cream is below. Notice how half of it on the top is mixed and the other half isn’t. The half that is not mixed is part of the large section of just ice cream he slapped on top.
