We stopped at Cold Stone Creamery in Dubuque, IA on our way to Eagle Point Park. They had just opened, so we had the place to ourselves. The cashier came out right away, was super friendly, and patiently helped us decide between all the amazing options.
I ordered a Love It size Cornbread is My Jam, and my friend went with a Love It Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Dream Shake. My ice cream was a little overmixed, so it didn’t quite look like the photo, or good enough for a photo—but it was delicious. The perfect combo of tart fruit, sweet jam, and moist yet crumbly cornbread. I can’t stress enough how tasty it was.
The peanut butter shake was also incredible—rich, creamy, and loaded with peanut butter up and down the sides of the cup. Both treats disappeared quite quickly.
Overall, the service was great, the treats were delicious, and I’d absolutely stop here again the next time I’m in Dubuque. Highly recommend.

Can never go wrong with coldstone. Staff is usually very friendly and greets everyone. Choose from a menu or mix up whatever your heart desires. The berry one is very good with the strawberry ice cream. I love the coffee with oreos and fudge!

Ice is delicious as always. The staff is terrible. My family and I went in for ice cream, one employee took my daughter’s order, stopped to make a door dash order, and didn’t say a word to us as he ignored us and left us standing and my daughters ice cream melting. They certainly seem to value delivery orders over in person customers and are rude and inconsiderate. This took place on July 5, 2025 around 8:35pm.

I would honestly give it 0 stars if I could. This was the first time I’ve ever been here, there was 6 people working and only 1 person came and helped at first until about 20 people got in line behind us. We are staying at a hotel so my youngest son and i went and got it for the 4 of us and took it back. The first one they handed to me had ice cream all over the outside and i had asked for lids so the guys just gave me the lid while i was cleaning the ice cream off. My wife got the nutter butter one and she only got peanut butter ice cream. They put everything in a paper bag and we didn’t know whose was what and they didn’t say or anything. When I paid the credit thing asked for a tip and I put no. I could tell the guy working saw and was mad. You get tips for how your service is and I thought it was some of the worst service I had ever had.

Loved this little place!! The smell in there is absolutely yummy! The store was immaculate. All the tables that were empty were spotless. And as soon as someone left, there was an employee that flew right out there 2 clean the table and chairs. The staff was polite, courteous, very friendly, really helpful and always smiling. Not 2 mention that they had plenty of people. Absolutely no waiting in line. The prices R a bit steep, but U get all the toppings and mixins that U want, so it really balances all that out. I’ve been places where they charge U for each and every mixin, and b4 U know it, U need 2 take a second mortgage out on your house or else sell a body part on the black market. We each got 4 mixins, and it was delicious! First time I ever saw my son eat his oce cream all the way down 2 the bottom of his cup and didn’t need 2 throw anything but empty cup, dirty spoon and a few soiled Napkins. He’s not too much of a sweets or chocolate person. We’d definitely go back again.

3/15/25- The 3 stars is only going to the 3 workers who were busting their butts working. 1 was not very quick but still kept going, 1 came in to help on her shift off, and 1 was really trying her best to hold down the place. Line was backed up nearly to the door. We waited about 40 minutes because when an online order came in, the girls would have to stop and fill that order because they had already paid. I might suggest next time when they are that busy in the store to have shut online ordering off.

The service here was amazing!. The lady who helped us was very kind and patient while we picked out our ice cream. Our 82 year old grandmother had never gone there before but now constantly says she we should go again! The flavors were spot on, and the serving sizes were generous. It’s definitely a go-to spot if you have a sweet tooth.

I was there on the night of 2/24/2025 and the service was terrible. I had to wait forever in line for 2 people in front of me to gossip with the worker and then they were given extra mix ins at no charge. When I finally got to order, the kid was more concered with playing with his hair than taking my order. Ge asked me 7 times what was in my smoothie and acted like it it was the end of the world to make my smoothie. He sighed and grabbed the blender pieces and slammed them on the counter. After I paid he was immediately playing on his phone and did not try to help the other girl. My sister had gotten three different ice creams and had asked for them to go. They were made but when she got hers they were not mixed at all and the two for our parents were not mixed well either and one had the toppings sprinkled on top like they forgot to mix them in. I would say names but neither of them were wearing name tags. Here regularly and have never had service like this before. Very dissapointed!
